Claims
- 1. A device for centrifugally applying a refractory mass to the walls of the vessel by slinging the same thereon in a direction normal to the walls which device comprises a slinger unit disposable within said vessel, said slinger unit comprising a slinger head having a slinger wheel, a slinger motor driving said slinger wheel, at least one supply conduit for supplying refractory mass to said wheel and means for forming the supplied refractory mass and a binder into lumps, said slinger wheel being disposed on one end of a shaft which shaft is extendable into said vessel and a second motor for driving said slinger unit about the axis of the vessel.
- 2. A device according to claim 1 wherein said slinger unit is rotably held at the lower end of a housing of the second motor.
- 3. A device according to claim 2 comprising a mixing unit provided between the lower ends of said conduits and said slinger wheel.
- 4. A device according to claim 3 wherein said device further comprises at least one supply conduit for a refractory mass and at least one supply conduit for a liquid which conduits are in communication with a mixing means disposed between said slinger head and said slinger motor.
- 5. A device according to claim 3 wherein said slinger unit is pivotable about an axis substantially perpendicular to the axis of the vessel and connected to a housing of a second motor.
- 6. A device according to claim 5 wherein to the slinger unit two parallel conduits for the refractory mass are connected, an upper part of which are substantially parallel to the axis of the unit whilst their lower parts are inclined to each other to form a fork, the pivot axis of the slinger unit crossing said fork.
