Claims
- 1. A process of obtaining an active substance comprising following steps:
a) extraction of a herbal composition which consists of the following dried ingredients: 14plant of centaury (Centauri umbellatum, Gentianaceae)10-15%byweight(wt.)root of dandelion (Teraxaci officinale, Asteraceae)6-12%by wt.fruit of juniper (Juniperi communis L, Cupresaceae)5-8%by wt.plant of nettle (Urticae dioica L, Urticeae)5-10%by wt.root of nettle (Urticae dioica L, Urticaceae)5-10%by wt.root of chicory (Cichorium intybus L, Cichoriaceae)12-20%by wt.leaf of black mulberry (Morus nigra L, Moraceae)5-10%by wt.flower of yarrow (Achilleae millefolium L, Asteraceae)2-5%by wt.leaf of bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L, Ericaceae)4-10%by wt.pod of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L, Fabaceae)10-20%by wt.,androot of valerian (Valeriana officinalis L,5-10%by wt.;Valerlanaceae) with 60% ethanol in a vessel at the room temperature for 28 days; b) decantation of an upper layer of extract from said vessel; c) filtration of lower layer of extract from said vessel to form a filtrate; d) evaporation of the filtrate from either one or both of steps c) and d) in a vacuum of 10 mmHg while heating the filtrate from a temperature of about about 20° C. to about 40° C. for a period of about 30 minutes to form a product, e) mixing the product from step d) with nonionogenic co-solubilizer of hydrophilic tenside to form a mixture, f) increasing a density of the mixture of step e) by heating said mixture from a temperature of about about 20° C. to about 40° C. for a period of about 30 minutes to form a thicjk suspension, g) freezing said thick suspension with liquid air to the temperature of −186° C., and h) after that, lyophilizing the frozen thick suspension in a high vacuum of 0.001 mmHg into a fine powder.
- 2. A process in accordance with claim 1, wherein in said extraction step 1 kg of the herbal composition is used for each 7.21 liters of of 60% ethanol.
- 3. A process in accordance with claim 1, wherein in said density increasing step said density of said mixture is increased by a factor of 10.
- 4. A process of obtaining an active substance comprising following steps:
a) extraction of a herbal composition which consists of the following dried ingredients: 15plant of centaury (Centauri umbellatum, Gentianaceae)12.3%byweight(wt.)root of dandelion (Teraxaci officinale, Asteraceae)9.7%by wt.fruit of juniper (Juniperi communis L, Cupresaceae)6.2%by wt.plant of nettle (Urticae dioica L, Urticeae)7.4%by wt.root of nettle (Urticae dioica L, Urticaceae)7%by wt.root of chicory (Cichorium intybus L, Cichoriaceae)17.7%by wt.leaf of black mulberry (Morus nigra L, Moraceae)7.4%by wt.flower of yarrow (Achilleae millefolium L, Asteraceae)3.5%by wt.leaf of bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L, Ericaceae)6.6%by wt.pod of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L, Fabaceae)14.4%by wt.,androot of valerian (Valeriana officinalis L,7.8%by wt.;Valerlanaceae) wherein each percentage refers to the total mass of the dried ingredients in the composition; with 60% ethanol in a vessel at the room temperature for 28 days; b) decantation of an upper layer of extract from said vessel; c) filtration of lower layer of extract from said vessel to form a filtrate; d) evaporation of the filtrate from either one or both of steps c) and d) in a vacuum of 10 mmHg while heating the filtrate from a temperature of about about 20° C. to about 40° C. for a period of about 30 minutes to form a product, e) mixing the product from step d) with nonionogenic co-solubilizer of hydrophilic tenside to form a mixture, f) increasing a density of the mixture of step e) by heating said mixture from a temperature of about about 20° C. to about 40° C. for a period of about 30 minutes to form a thick suspension, g) freezing said thick suspension with liquid air to the temperature of −186° C., and h) after that, lyophilizing the frozen thick suspension in a high vacuum of 0.001 mmHg into a fine powder of active substances.
- 5. A process in accordance with claim 4, wherein in said extraction step 1 kg of the herbal composition is used for each 7.21 liters of 60% ethanol.
- 6. A process in accordance with claim 4, wherein in said density increasing step said density of said mixture is increased by a factor of 10.
- 7. A product of the process of claims 1 or 4.
- 8. A product in accordance with claim 7, further comprising and inert carrier and one or more additives combined to form a pharmaceutical preparation.
- 9. A process in accordance with claims 1 or 4, further comprising:
a) mixing said fine powder of active substances with a zeolite, monosaccharides, microcellulose, and Mg-stearate until a homogenous mixture is obtained, and b) compressing of this mixture to form a tablet.
- 10. A product of the process of claim 9.
- 11. A process in accordance with claim 9, wherein tablet consists of:

- 15. A method of treating diabetes mellitus type II in mammals by orally administering a therapeutically effective quantity of the pharmaceutical preparation according to claim 7.
