Claims
- 1. A flame resistant composition for treatment of articles including, by weight percent:
- from about 17 to about 47% water (H.sub.2 O);
- from about 13 to about 39% inorganic acids;
- from about 6 to about 22% ammonium salts;
- from about 1 to about 17% sodium carbonate (NaCO.sub.3);
- from about 0.4 to about 16% pyrophosphate (H.sub.4 O.sub.7 P.sub.2);
- about 24% copolymers of acrylic vinyl;
- about 0.5% linker emulsion; and
- about 5% silicone rubber latex.
- 2. A flame resistant composition in accordance with claim 1 wherein said inorganic acids include, by weight percent:
- from about 68 to about 99% phosphoric acid (H.sub.3 PO.sub.4); and
- from about 1 to about 32% boric acid (H.sub.3 BO.sub.3).
- 3. A flame resistant composition in accordance with claim 1 wherein said inorganic acids include 100 weight % boric acid (H.sub.3 BO.sub.3).
- 4. A flame resistant composition in accordance with claim 1 wherein said inorganic acids include 100 weight % phosphoric acid (H.sub.3 PO.sub.4).
- 5. A flame resistant composition in accordance with claim 1 wherein said ammonium salts include 100 weight % ammonium sulfate ((NH.sub.4).sub.2 SO.sub.4).
