Claims
- 1. A process for coloring a fiber material selected from the group consisting of cellulose, natural or synthetic polyamides and mixtures thereof, comprising applying to said fiber material a water soluble dyestuff which, in the form of the free acid, has the formula: ##STR60## wherein R.sub.3 is halogen and R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are each independently selected from hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, and ethoxy, and fixing said dyestuff on said fiber material by the action of an alkaline agent.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are both hydrogen.
- 3. The process of claim 2 wherein R.sub.3 is chloro.
- 4. The process of claim 1 wherein said dyestuff is further fixed on said fiber material by the application of heat.
- 5. The process of claim 1 wherein said dyestuff is further fixed on said fiber material by the application of steam.
