Claims
- 1. In the process of dyeing an anionically modified fiber material by exhaustion from a dyebath consisting essentially of a cationic dyestuff dissolved in halogenated hydrocarbon the improvement comprising the use as said cationic dyestuff a dyestuff soluble in said halogenated hydrocarbon and having the formula ##STR12## in which A.sup.- is a non-lipophilic anion;
- R.sub.12 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl;
- R.sub.13 is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, or R.sub.12 and R.sub.13 together with the nitrogen atom form a heterocyclic ring which can contain further hetero-atoms;
- R.sub.14 is hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy, aralkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, nitro, CN, trifluoromethyl, carboxylic acid ester, carbonamide, N-substituted carbonamide, acyl, alkysulphonyl or arylsulphonyl or ##STR13## in which R.sub.9 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen;
- R.sub.10 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl;
- R.sub.11 is alkyl, aryl, carboxylic acid ester, carbonamide or substituted carbonamide;
- R.sub.15 is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl;
- R.sub.16 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl; or
- R.sub.15 and R.sub.16, together with the nitrogen atom, form a heterocyclic ring which can contain further hetero-atoms;
- R.sub.17 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy, and in which
- the aromatic carbocyclic rings of the dyestuff cation can be condensed with carbocyclic rings and additionally the substituents R.sub.9, R.sub.14 and R.sub.17 can contan further non-ionic substituents;
- with the proviso that at least one of the substituents R.sub.9, R.sub.11, R.sub.14 or R.sub.17 is a C.sub.3 -C.sub.13 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 -alkoxy or C.sub.5 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl group or R.sub.10 is a C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 -alkyl or C.sub.5 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl group.
- 2. Process according to claim 1 in which said dyebath also contains 0.1 to 4 percent by weight of water relative to the weight of the halogenated hydrocarbon.
- 3. Process of claim 1 in which said non-lipophilic anion is chloride, bromide, iodide, carbonate, bicarbonate, sulphate, bisulphate, disulphate, aminosulphonate, phosphate, dihydrogenophosphate, nitrate, perchlorate, ZnCl.sub.3.sup..sup.-, p-chlorobenzenesulphonate, methylsulphate, ethylsulphate or the anion of formic acid, acetic acid, chloroacetic acid, propionic acid, lactic acid, crotonic acid, benzoic acid, oxalic acid, malonic acid, maleic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, succinic acid, adipic acid or suberic acid.
