Claims
- 1. A dryer added fabric softener article comprising a substrate, coated on said substrate a coating and coated on said substrate coating an outer coating and intimately admixed with said outer coating at least one substance selected from the group consisting of:
- (i) the compound having the structure: ##STR88## (ii) the compound having the structure: ##STR89## (iii) a mixture of compounds having the structures: ##STR90## (iv) a mixture of compounds having the structures: ##STR91## said substance being in such an amount that when the dryer-added fabric softener article is contacted with a clothing batch an aroma is imparted in a pleasant manner to the head space in the dryer on operation thereof using the said dryer-added fabric softening article.
- 2. A dryer-added fabric softener article comprising a substrate, coated on said substrate a substrate coating and coated on said substrate coating an outer coating and intimately admixed with said outer coating a product produced according to the process comprising the step of intimately admixing hydrogen with at least one compound defined by the structure: ##STR92## wherein in the cyclohexene moiety one of the dashed lines is a carbon-carbon double bond and the other of the dashed lines is either a carbon-carbon double bond or a carbon-carbon single bond, said reaction taking place in the presence of a suspended palladium catalyst, said product-by-process being present in said outer coating in such a quantity that when said dryer-added fabric softener article is in contact with a clothing batch in a dryer, an aroma is imparted in a pleasant manner to the head space in the dryer on operation thereof using the said dryer-added fabric softener article.
