Claims
- 1. A process comprising the steps of reacting 3-chloromesityl oxide with myrcene thereby forming a chlorine containing Diels-Alder adduct and then dehydrochlorinating the said Diels-Alder adduct to form an acetyl conjugated cyclohexadiene and cyclizing said acetyl conjugated cyclohexadiene to form a mixture of compounds defined by the structure: ##STR80## wherein one of the dashed lines is a carbon-carbon double bond and each of the other of the dashed lines is a carbon-carbon single bond.
