Claims
- 1. A method for preparing zinc olivine phosphate by heating zinc dihydrogen phosphate and olivine in a ratio of 0.5-10:1 to a temperature of about 1000.degree. C. or more until the reaction mixture fuses, then cooling to ambient temperatures.
- 2. The product obtained by the method of claim 1.
- 3. A process for the preparation of KOP by the steps of mixing potassium dihydrogen phosphate with olivine in a ratio of 0.5-10:1 respectively and heating to over 805.degree. C. until the mixture fuses, then cooling to ambient temperatures.
- 4. The process of claim 3 wherein the potassium dihydrogen phosphate and olivine are reacted in a ratio about 2:1 by weight, respectively.
- 5. The product obtained by the process of claim 3.
