Claims
- 1. A process for producing an optical filter comprising the steps of:
- (a) copolymerizing 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture composed of a monomer represented by the following formula (I) and a monomer copolymerizable therewith in the presence of 0.1 to 40 parts by weight, based upon the weight of the copolymer, of a metallic compound mainly composed of a copper compound;
- PO(OH).sub.n R.sub.3-n (I)
- wherein n is 1 or 2 and R represents ##STR7## in which X represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and m is an integer of 0 to 5, and
- (b) extracting and removing from the copolymer an acid component produced from the reaction of a phosphorous group in the monomer (I) and the metallic compound.
- 2. A process according to claim 1 wherein in step (b) said acid component is extracted with water, an aliphatic lower alcohol, a ketone, an ether, an aliphatic hydrocarbon, a halide or an aromatic compound.
- 3. A process according to claim 1 wherein in step (b) said acid component is extracted with water, methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, acetone or methylene chloride.
- 4. A process according to claim 1 wherein at least 25 wt. % of the acid component, based on the amount of the acid radical component of the metallic compound used, is removed.
- 5. A process for producing an optical filter comprising:
- (a) copolymerizing 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture comprising a monomer represented by the following formula (I) and a monomer copolymerizable therewith in the presence of 0.1 to 40 parts by weight, based upon the weight of the copolymer, of a metallic compound mainly composed of a copper compound;
- PO(OH).sub.n R.sub.3-n (I)
- wherein n is 1 or 2 and R represents ##STR8## in which X represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and m is an integer of 0 to 5; and
- (b) removing from the copolymer at least 25 wt. % of an acid component, based on the amount of the acid radical component of the metallic compound used, said acid component produced from the reaction of the phosphorous in the monomer (I) and the metallic compound.
