Claims
- 1. A decarburized grain oriented steel sheet having an oxide surface layer consisting essentially of SiO.sub.2 and Fe.sub.2 SiO.sub.4 formed by decarburization annealing, wherein said steel sheet has a pickling weight loss, when immersed in 5% HCl at 70.degree. C. for 60 seconds, of about 0.35 g/m.sup.2 or less.
- 2. The decarburized sheet defined in claim 1, wherein said pickling weight loss is about 0.17 to 0.25.
- 3. A decarburized grain oriented steel sheet having an oxide surface layer consisting essentially of SiO.sub.1 and Fe.sub.2 SiO.sub.4 formed by decarburization annealing, wherein said steel sheet has a pickling weight loss, when immersed in 5% HCl at 70.degree. C. for 60 seconds, of about 0.35 g/m.sup.2 or less, and has a marked oxygen value of 0.4 to 5 g/m.sup.2, said marked oxygen value comprising the weight of oxygen expressed as O, in grams per unit area in square meters.
