Claims
- 1. A process for producing a perfluoro unsaturated carboxylic acid amide compound represented by the following general formula:
- CF.sub.2 .dbd.CFO(CF.sub.2).sub.n OCF(CF.sub.3)CONH.sub.2
- where n is an integer of 2, 3, 4 or 5, which process comprises reacting a perfluoro unsaturated carboxylic acid ester compound represented by the following general formula:
- CF.sub.2 .dbd.CFO(CF.sub.2).sub.n OCF(CF.sub.3)COOR
- where R is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and n has the same meaning as defined above, with ammonia in the presence of a fluorine-containing solvent.
- 2. A process according to claim 1, wherein the reaction with ammonia is carried out in a solvent under atmospheric or superatmospheric pressure.
- 3. A process according to claim 2, wherein the solvent is a fluorine-containing solvent selected from the group consisting of 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane, perfluoro (2-butylhydrofuran) and perfluorohexane.
- 4. A process according to claim 1, wherein the reaction with ammonia is carried out while keeping an amount of the ammonia equimolar to that of the perfluoro unsaturated carboxylic acid ester.
