Claims
- 1. A process for producing a polymer powder, which comprises the steps of:
- separately melting two or more different oligomers and/or monomers which are reactive with each other to form polyamides, spraying a mixture of said oligomers and/or monomers, while continuously mixing them with each other, the mixture being solid at room temperature, having a melt viscosity of 1,000 cps or below at 300 degree C.,
- cooling the sprayed mixture to obtain a powder thereof, and
- solid phase-polymerizing the powder to obtain the polymer powder.
- 2. The process as claimed in claim 1, in which the mixture has a melt viscosity of 500 cps or below.
- 3. The process as claimed in claim 1, in which the mixture is a polyamide resin composition, suitable for powder coating, which comprises a first polyamide having a carboxylic acid at 70 percent or above of the terminal groups thereof and a second polyamide having an amine at 70 percent or above of the terminal groups thereof.
- 4. The polymer powder as obtained by the process as defined in claim 1.
- 5. A process for producing a polymer powder, which comprises the steps of:
- separating melting two or more different substances having molecular weights of about 100 to 10,000 which are reactive with each other to form polyamides, spraying a mixture of said substances while continuously mixing them with each other, the mixture being solid at room temperature and having a melting viscosity of 1,000 cps or below at 300 degree C., cooling the sprayed mixture to obtain a powder thereof, and solid phase polymerizing the powder to obtain the polymer powder.
- 6. A process for producing a polymer powder, which comprises the steps of:
- separately melting a polyamide oligomer having 70 percent or above of its terminal groups as an amine and having a molecular weight of about 100 to 10,000 with a polyamide oligomer having 70 percent or above of its terminal group as a carboxylic acid and having a molecular weight of about 100 to 10,000, said polyamide oligomers being reactive with each other to form a polyamide resin, spraying a mixture of said polyamide oligomers while continuously mixing them with each other, the mixture being solid at room temperature and having a melt viscosity of 1,000 cps or below at 300 degrees C., cooling the sprayed mixture to obtain a powder thereof, and solid phase polymerizing the powder to obtain the polymer powder.
