Claims
- 1. A process for producing a compound of the formula (I) ##STR8## wherein Hal is chlorine or bromine, and R.sup.1 to R.sup.5 are, each independently, hydrogen, unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 -alkyl, or unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -aryl;
- comprising reacting a compound of the formula (II) ##STR9## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.5 are the same as above with chlorine or bromine, the chlorine or bromine being in an excess of at least 5 mol % compared to the compound of formula (II), with an organic phosphorus compound of the formula (III) ##STR10## wherein each Ar is independently an unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -aryl, the process yielding the compound of formula (I) having a purity of over 95%.
- 2. The process of claim 1, wherein Hal is bromine.
- 3. The process of claim 1, wherein the substituents for the C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 -alkyl of R.sup.1 to R.sup.5 are halogenyl or cyano.
- 4. The process of claim 1, wherein the substituents for the C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -aryl of R.sup.1 to R.sup.5 are selected from the group consisting of straight-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, straight-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, straight-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -halogenoalkyl, branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -halogenoalkyl, halogenyl and sulpho.
- 5. The process of claim 1, wherein the substituents for C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -aryl of Ar are selected from the group consisting of straight-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, straight-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, straight-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -halogenoalkyl, branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -halogenoalkyl, halogenyl and sulpho.
- 6. The process of claim 1, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.3, and R.sup.5 are hydrogen, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.4, are, each independently, hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, i-propyl, or phenyl, and Ar is phenyl, chlorophenyl, tolyl, or methoxyphenyl.
- 7. The process of claim 1, wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.5 are hydrogen, and each Ar is phenyl.
