Claims
- 1. In the process for the catalytic cracking of a gas oil in the absence of added hydrogen over a hydrocarbon cracking catalyst comprising an antimony-containing acidic solid, the improvement which comprises contacting said antimony-containing acidic solid with hydrogen sulfide.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein said antimony-containing acidic solid is an antimony-containing aluminosilicate zeolite.
- 3. The process of claim 2 wherein said aluminosilicate zeolite is of the Y type.
- 4. A method for passivating contaminating metals upon a hydrocarbon cracking catalyst comprising an antimony-containing acidic solid which comprises contacting said cracking catalyst with hydrogen sulfide.
- 5. The process of claim 4 wherein said antimony-containing acidic solid comprises a crystal-line aluminosilicate zeolite.
- 6. The process of claim 4 wherein said crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite is of the Y type.
