Claims
- 1. A compound of Formula VI ##STR28## wherein R.sup.8 or R.sup.9 is independently alkyl of from one to ten carbon atoms,
- cyclopropyl,
- cyclobutyl,
- cyclopentyl,
- cyclohexyl,
- benzyl or
- phenyl or
- R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 together are
- --(CH.sub.2).sub.4 --,
- --(CH.sub.2).sub.5 --,
- --(CH(R.sup.10)--CH.sub.2).sub.3 --,
- --(CH(R.sup.10)--CH.sub.2).sub.4 --,
- --(CH(R.sup.10)--(CH.sub.2).sub.2 --CH(R.sup.10))--,
- --(CH(R.sup.10)--(CH.sub.2).sub.3 --CH(R.sup.10))--,
- --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --,
- --CH(R.sup.10)--CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --,
- --CH(R.sup.10)--CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.2 --CH(R.sup.10)--,
- wherein R.sup.10 is alkyl of from one to four carbon atoms provided R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are not both methyl; and
- R.sup.11 or R.sup.12 is independently alkyl of from one to three carbon atoms or phenyl or
- R.sup.11 and R.sup.12 are taken together as --(CH.sub.2).sub.n -- wherein n is 4 or 5.
- 2. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are phenyl.
- 3. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are phenylmethyl.
- 4. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are combined as --(CH.sub.2).sub.5 --.
- 5. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.8 is butyl and R.sup.9 is methyl.
- 6. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.8 is 1,1-dimethylethyl and R.sup.9 is methyl.
- 7. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are ethyl.
- 8. A compound according to claim 1 selected from the group consisting of:
- (4R-cis)-6-(2-cyanomethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-N, N-diphenyl-1,3-dioxane-4-acetamide;
- (4R-cis)-6-(2-cyanomethyl)-N,N-diethyl-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4-acetamide;
- (4R-cis)-6-(2-cyanomethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-N, N-bis(phenylmethyl)-1,3-dioxane-4-acetamide;
- (4R-cis)-N-butyl-6-(2-cyanomethyl)-N, 2,2-trimethyl-1,3-dioxane -4-acetamide;
- (4R-cis)-6-(2-cyanomethyl)-N-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-2, 2-dimethyl-N-(phenylmethyl)-1,3-dioxane-4-acetamide;
- (4R-cis)-1- 6-(cyanomethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4-yl!acetyl!piperidine; and
- (4R-cis)-1- 6-(cyanomethyl)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxan-4-yl!acetyl!pyrrolidine.
