Claims
- 1. Process of dyeing flocked textile fibers wherein said fibers have been washed and dried and are provided in the form of a pressed ball, comprising providing a closable vessel with an outlet opening for dye liquors and of greater cross-sectional size than that of the pressed ball, introducing the pressed ball into said vessel and biassing the pressed ball against the dye liquor outlet opening, circulating dye liquor through said vessel until the desired dyeing is effected, thereafter drying and loosening the dyed fibers of the pressed ball.
- 2. The process as claimed in claim 1 characterized in dye liquor entrance and outlet openings are provided on at least two opposite sides of the pressed ball and comprising introducing and withdrawing dye liquor through the pressed ball by changing the direction of movement of the dye liquor.
- 3. The process as claimed in claim 2 wherein the flow-through direction of the dye liquor is oscillated.
- 4. The process as claimed in claim 3 wherein the frequency of oscillation of the dye liquor is about 50 Hz.
- 5. The process as claimed in claim 2 wherein said oscillation is carried out with or against the current direction or cross-wise thereto.
