Claims
- 1. A color developing composition for a pressure sensitive copying paper comprising a pigment, a color developer and a copolymer latex as a binder, characterized in that said copolymer latex is a copolymer latex prepared by emulsion copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising 20 to 60% by weight of 1,3-butadiene, 0 to 20% by weight of acrylonitrile, 1 to 20% by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, and 34 to 79% by weight of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of styrene, methyl methacrylate, .beta.-hydroxyethyl acrylate and acrylamide in the presence of 0.1 to 30 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the monomer mixture of cyclohexene.
- 2. A color developing composition for a pressure sensitive copying paper according to claim 1, wherein 0.05 to 10 parts by weight of a chain transfer agent is used per 100 parts by weight of the monomer mixture.
- 3. A color developing composition for a pressure sensitive copying paper according to claim 2, wherein the chain transfer agent is an alkyl mercaptan.
- 4. A color developing composition for a pressure sensitive copying paper according to claim 3, wherein the chain transfer agent is tert-dodecylmercaptan.
