Claims
- 1. A process for inhibiting corrosion which is characterized by treating a metal with a composition comprising a compound of the formula ##STR57## where R, R.sub.1 are hydrocarbon groups, R.sub.2 is H or alkyl, R.sub.3 is H, alkyl, ##STR58## or alkanol, n and p are one or more; or mixtures thereof.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein the composition has the formula, ##STR59## where R.sub.1 is a hydrocarbon group,
- R.sub.2 is H or alkyl,
- R.sub.3 is H, alkyl, ##STR60## or alkanol, and n is one or more.
- 3. The process of claim 1 wherein the composition has the formula, ##STR61## where R is a hydrocarbon group, and n and p are one or more.
- 4. The process of claim 2 wherein the composition has the formula, ##STR62## where n is one or more, and
- R is H, ##STR63## or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --OH.
- 5. The process of claim 3 wherein the composition has the formula, ##STR64## where n and p are one or more.
- 6. The process of claim 2 wherein the composition has the formula, ##STR65## where R is H, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OH, or ##STR66## and n is one or more.
