1. Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to protective cases, particularly, to a protective case for an electronic device capable of supporting the electronic device.
2. Description of Related Art
Protective cases for electronic devices (i.e., electronic readers) can protect the electronic device from dust, and being worn and scratched. There are times when a protective case, which does not include a support, must be detached from the electronic device it protects in order for user to use a support stand, which is inconvenient.
Many aspects of the embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present disclosure. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.

In the embodiment, the support 30 includes a first protrusion 31 and a second protrusion 32 spaced from each other a distance slightly shorter than the stylus. The first protrusion 31 and the second protrusion 32 are approximately semi-cylindrical and connected to each other by a connection bar 33. In the embodiment, the first protrusion 31, the second protrusion 32, and the connection bar 33 are integrally formed with the case 20.
The top of the first protrusion 31 defines a first tapered slot 311, and the top of the second protrusion 32 defines a second tapered slot 321 aligned with the first tapered slot 311. The first and second tapered slots 311,321 cooperate to form the receiving groove 40. The first slot 311 tapers in a direction away from the second slot 321, and the second slots 321 tapers in a direction away from the first slot 311. When not in use, the stylus can be placed in the groove 40. In the embodiment, the diameter of the stylus is slightly greater than that of the groove 40, such that the stylus can be tightly held in the groove 40.
The case 20 forms a plurality of openings 21 in its back, allowing ports of the electronic device 200 to be exposed.
Although the present disclosure has been specifically described on the basis of the exemplary embodiment thereof, the disclosure is not to be construed as being limited thereto. Various changes or modifications may be made to the embodiment without departing from the scope and spirit of the disclosure.
