DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

The present disclosure will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments to make the technical solution and beneficial effects of the present disclosure more apparent. It can be understood that the drawings are only for reference and illustration, and are not used to limit the present disclosure. The dimensions shown in the drawings are only for the convenience of clear description and do not limit the proportional relationship.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, a protective case 1 for a mobile device 2 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a body portion 10 and a movable portion 20. The movable portion 20 is movably connected to the outer periphery 11 of the body portion 10. The protective case 1 has a flattened configuration as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and a folded configuration as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. In the flattened configuration, the body portion 10 and the movable portion 20 are on the same plane or substantially on the same plane. In the folded configuration, the movable portion 20 is folded and perpendicular to the body portion 10, and the folded movable portion 20 and the body portion 10 together form an accommodation chamber 100 for receiving the mobile device 2.

Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, in this embodiment, the body portion 10 is generally rectangular, including a front side 101 and an opposing rear side 102, an upper side 103 and an opposing lower side 104, and a left side 105 and an opposing right side 106. The upper side 103, the left side 105, the lower side 104 and the right side 106 are connected in sequence at four corners 107. In this embodiment, each corner 107 is chamfered into an arc shape. Further, a through hole 108 passing through the front side 101 and the back side 102 is defined adjacent to the upper, right corner 107 of the body portion 10 for exposing the camera of the mobile device 2. Optionally, a protective frame 109 is further provided on the rear side 102 of the body portion 10, which protrudes from the rear side 102 and corresponds to the through hole 108 for protecting the camera of the mobile device 2.

In this embodiment, the movable portion 20 includes an upper side wall 21, a lower side wall 22, a left side wall 23 and a right side wall 24 which are movably connected (for example, hinged) to the upper side 103, lower side 104, left side 105 and right side 106 of the body portion 10 respectively. Each of the upper side wall 21, the lower side wall 22, the left side wall 23 and the right side wall 24 includes a strip body 200. The lengths of the strip bodies 200 of the upper side wall 21 and the lower side wall 22 are equal, the lengths of the strip bodies 200 of the left side wall 23 and the right side wall 24 are equal, and the length of the strip body 200 of the left side wall 23 is greater than the length of the strip body 200 of the upper side wall 21. In the flattened configuration, the upper side wall 21, the lower side wall 22, the left side wall 23 and the right side wall 24 are separated from each other (as shown in FIG. 2). In the folded configuration, the upper side wall 21, the left side wall 23, the lower side wall 22 and the right side wall 24 are connected end to end (as shown in FIG. 4).

Preferably, the upper side wall 21, lower side wall 22, left side wall 23 and right side wall 24 is rotatable relative to the upper side 103, lower side 104, left side 105 and right side 106 respectively in the range of 0°-90°, where 0° corresponds to the flattened configuration and 90° corresponds to the folded configuration. Preferably, the upper side wall 21, the lower side wall 22, the left side wall 23, the right side wall 24 and the body portion 10 are formed in one piece so as to increase the connection strength of the upper side wall 21, the lower side wall 22, the left side wall 23 and the right side wall 24 with the body portion 10.

Further preferably, as shown in FIG. 5, each of the upper side 103, the lower side 104, the left side 105 and the right side 106 includes a first inclined surface 110. Each of the upper side wall 21, the lower side wall 22, the left side wall 23 and the right side wall 24 includes a second inclined surface 201 on a side adjacent to the body portion 10. The second inclined surface 201 is movably connected with the corresponding first inclined surface 110. As shown in FIG. 10, in the flattened configuration, an angle is defined between the first inclined surface 110 and the second inclined surface 201. In the folded configuration, the first inclined surface 110 and the second inclined surface 201 are in face-to-face contact. The arrangement of the first inclined surface 110 and the second inclined surface 201 facilitates the rotation of the side walls 21 to 24 relative to the body portion 10 as well as the positioning of the side walls 21 to 24 relative to the body portion 10.

Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 10, each of the upper side wall 21, lower side wall 22, left side wall 23 and right side wall 24 further includes a first flange 202 which is connected to the corresponding strip body 200 at an angle. In this embodiment, the first flange 202 is connected to the corresponding strip body 200 at 90°. As shown in FIG. 11, in the folded configuration, the first flange 202 is located above the body portion 10. Therefore, after the mobile device 2 is received in the accommodation chamber 100, the first flanges 202 can attach to the screen side of the mobile device 2 to firmly fix the mobile device 2 in the accommodation chamber 100.

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 4 to 6, in this embodiment, the protective case 1 further includes four elastic connectors 30 detachably connected to the upper side wall 21, the lower side wall 22, the left side wall 23, and the right side wall 24. Preferably, the material hardness of the connector 30 is smaller than the material hardness of the upper side wall 21, lower side wall 22, left side wall 23, right side wall 24 and the body portion 10. In the flattened configuration, the connector 30 is flattened. In the folded configuration, the upper side wall 21, the left side wall 23, the lower side wall 22 and the right side wall 24 are connected end to end through corresponding connectors 30, and the connectors 30 are bent and respectively correspond to the four corners 107 of the mobile device 2. The elastic connectors 30 are not only conducive to the connection of the side walls 21 to 24, but also have the function of buffering and shock absorption because the connectors 30 are made of elastic material, which can provide better protection to the four corners 107 of the mobile device 2 which are more easily damaged.

Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 7 to 8, in the flattened configuration, two ends of the upper side wall 21 are each connected to a corresponding connector 30, and the upper side wall 21 and the corresponding connectors 30 extends in a first straight line L1. Two ends of the lower side wall 22 are each connected to a corresponding connector 30, and the lower side wall 22 and the corresponding connectors 30 extend in a second straight line L2 which is parallel to the first straight line L2 and perpendicular to the straight lines L3 and L4 in which the left side wall 23 and the right side wall 24 respectively extends. In other words, in this embodiment, in the flattened configuration, the connectors 30 are connected to the upper side wall 21 and the lower side wall 22 which have a relatively short length. Compared with the case where the connectors 30 are connected to the left side wall 23 and the right side wall 24 which have a relatively short length in the flattened configuration, the length of the flattened configuration of the protective case 1 according to this embodiment is shorter, which is more conducive to saving space.

Preferably, as shown in FIG. 9, in the flattened configuration, from a lateral view of the protective case 1, the body portion 10, the side walls 21 to 24 (due to the view, only the left side wall 23 is visible in the figure) and the connectors 30 have substantially the same thickness. As shown in FIG. 9, the inner surface 230 of the strip body 200 of the left side wall 23 and the front side 101 of the body portion 10 generally extend in the same straight line (although the first flange 202 of the left side wall 23 is slightly higher than the front side 101 of the body portion 10), and the outer surface 231 of the strip body 200 of the left side wall 23 and the rear side 102 of the body portion 10 generally extend in the same straight line. The same applies to the upper side wall 21, the lower side wall 22 and the right side wall 24 and will not be described in detail here.

The inner surface 301 of the connector 30 and the front side 101 of the body portion 10 generally extend in the same straight line (although the second flange 35 of the connector 30 (described in detail below) is slightly higher than the front side 101 of the body portion 10, it is also basically flush with the first flange 202 of the left side wall 23), and the outer surface 302 of the connector 30 and the protective frame 109 of the body portion 10 generally extend in the same straight line. As a result, the size of the flattened configuration of the protective case 1 can be further reduced, thereby further reducing the space occupied by the protective case 1.

Referring to FIGS. 6 and 10 to 12, in this embodiment, each connector 30 includes a rectangular middle body 31 and a first ear portion 32 and a second ear portion 33 respectively connected to two short sides of the middle body 31. In the flattened configuration, the first ear portion 32 is connected to a corresponding side wall 21, 22, 23, 24, and the second ear portion 33 is a free end. In the folded configuration, the first ear portion 32 and the second ear portion 33 of each connector 30 are respectively connected to the corresponding two side walls 21, 22, 23, 24.

Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, in the folded configuration, the front side 303 of the middle body 31 (also the front side 303 of the connector 30) is flush with the front side 210 of the corresponding upper side wall 21 and the front side 232 of the corresponding left side wall 23, the rear side 304 of the middle body 31 (also the rear side 304 of the connector 30) is flush with the rear side 211 of the corresponding upper side wall 21, the rear side 233 of the corresponding left side wall 23 and the rear side 102 of the body portion 10, and the inner surface 301 of the middle body 31 (also the inner surface 301 of the connector 30) is smoothly transitioned the inner surface 212 of the corresponding upper side wall 21 and the inner surfaces 230 of the corresponding left side wall 23. As a result, the folded configuration of the protective case 1 has a simpler and more beautiful appearance without squeezing the mobile device 2.

In order to improve the connection strength between the connector 30 and the corresponding side walls 21, 23, preferably, as shown in FIGS. 9 to 11, each of the first ear portion 32 and the second ear portion 33 includes a connecting post 34. The connecting post 34 includes a first section 341 and a second section 342. The size of the second section 342 is larger than the size of the first section 341. The corresponding ends of the upper side wall 21 and the left side wall 23 are both provided with a first connection hole 203 and a second connection hole 204 that communicate with each other. The size of the second connection hole 204 is larger than that of the first connection hole 203. As mentioned above, since the connector 30 is made of elastic material, the second section 342 can be inserted into the second connection hole 204 through the first connection hole 203. Further, as the size of the second section 342 is larger than the size of the first connection hole 203, the connector 30 can be effectively prevented from falling off from the corresponding side walls 21, 23, and the connection is stable.

Preferably, as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, each connector 30 also includes a second flange 35, and the second flange 35 is connected to the long side of the middle body 31 away from the body portion 10. In the folded configuration, the second flange 35 is located above the body portion 10 and is adapted to attach to the mobile device 2. As shown in FIG. 11, the second flange 35 is basically flush with the first flanges 202 of the upper side wall 21 and the left side wall 23, so that the folded configuration of the protective case 1 has a simpler and more beautiful appearance, and the four corners 107 of the mobile device 2 which are more easily damaged can be protected better.

The connection of the upper side wall 21 and the right side wall 24, the lower side wall 22 and the left side wall 23, and the lower side wall 22 and the right side wall 24 through the connectors 30 can refer to the above description referring to the connection of the upper side wall 21 and the left side wall 23 through the connector 30, which will not be described again here.

The above-mentioned embodiment is only a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure, and those skilled in the art can make modifications or replacements based on the above-mentioned embodiment. For example, in other embodiments, the connector 30 can be connected to the side walls 21 to 24 in other connection manners. Alternatively, the connector 30 can be removed, and the side walls 21 to 24 can be provided with connecting portions which are integral portions of the side walls 21 to 24, in which case the folded configuration of the protective case 1 can be obtained by connecting the connecting portions.

As shown in FIG. 3, an embodiment of the present disclosure further provides a mobile device 2, which is provided with the aforementioned protective case 1 and is received in the accommodation chamber 100 of the protective case 1. In this embodiment, the mobile device 2 is a mobile phone. It is understandable that in other embodiments, the mobile device 2 can be a tablet or other electronic device.

The above are only preferred specific embodiments of the present disclosure. The protection scope of the present disclosure is not limited to the above embodiments. Any simple changes or equivalent substitutions of the technical solution obtained by those skilled in the art fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.
