The embodiments herein relate generally to automotive accessories.
Prior to embodiments of the disclosed invention, vehicles in floods were damaged by flood waters. Embodiments of the disclosed invention solve this problem.
A protective cover for a vehicle configured to limit damage to the vehicle in a flood. The protective cover includes a covering, arranged with an outer perimeter and having an opening. A front side sewn edge and a rear side sewn edge mechanically coupled to the waterproof canvas. A zipper mechanically coupled to the outer perimeter. The vehicle can fit within the covering between the front side sewn edge and the rear side sewn edge and then be covered with the covering upon sealing the zipper creating an airtight compartment in order to limit damage to the vehicle in a flood.
In some embodiments, a front strap is immediately adjacent to the covering and mechanically coupled to front strap D-rings. One end of the front strap can be inserted through the front strap d-ring to hold the front strap immediately adjacent to the covering and tightly around the vehicle. A rear strap immediately adjacent to the covering and mechanically coupled to rear strap D-rings. One end of the rear strap can be inserted through the rear strap d-ring to hold the rear strap immediately adjacent to the covering and tightly around the vehicle.
In some embodiments, the covering is a waterproof canvas. In other embodiments, the covering is a waterproof fabric.

In some embodiments, covering 10 can be used to protect vehicles from sun, wind and hail. Covering 10 can also protect furniture and other machinery from damage.

Thus, given the wide variety of configurations and arrangements of embodiments of the present invention the scope of the invention is reflected by the breadth of the claims below rather than narrowed by the embodiments described above.
