Abstract
The present disclosure relates to providing a protective crawl suit assembly that incorporates elastic pull straps and pads for safety and protection of a wearer. The protective crawl suit assembly comprises an upper clothing segment having a breathable material attached at armpit area. The upper clothing segment has a first elastic pull strap at base of an arm of the upper clothing segment. Further, the protective crawl suit assembly comprises a lower clothing segment having the breathable material attached at crotch area. The lower clothing segment has a second elastic pull strap sewn in at base of leg of the lower segment. The protective crawl suit assembly comprises a two way zipper for connecting and closing the upper clothing segment so as to provide a comfortable fit of the suit.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to protective clothing, and more particularly, to clothing which incorporate elastic pull straps and pads for safety and protection of a wearer.


BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Typically, there are many activities which require practitioners and tradesman such as carpenters, roofers, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) workers, painters, plumbers and electricians to constantly bend, squat, twist, turn, crawl, etc., for performing their job. In some cases for these practitioners, work environment may involve uneven, sloped, abrasive and/or hard surfaces on which the tradesman may have to sit, lay or kneel. In addition to being uncomfortable, working in such conditions can take a toll on clothing and joints of a tradesman. Various clothing types for tradesman is already known in the art, related to for example, dress forms which are contoured to for an upper body wear and a lower body wear. Further, the available clothing has padded cushioning that facilitates to protect the tradesman for injury in knees and elbows. However, these available clothing suffer from various shortcomings.


Hence, there is a need in the art, to be able to provide improved and enhanced protective crawl suit clothing for the tradesman so as to protect them from injury and enable them to conduct safe operations.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present disclosure relates to protective clothing, and more particularly, to clothing which incorporate elastic pull straps and pads for safety and protection of a wearer.


According to an aspect of the present disclosure is provided, a protective crawl suit assembly comprising an upper clothing segment having a breathable material attached at armpit area. The upper clothing segment has a first elastic pull strap at base of an arm of the upper segment; a lower clothing segment having the breathable material attached at crotch area, wherein the lower clothing segment has a second elastic pull strap sewn in at base of leg of the lower segment; and a two way zipper for connecting and closing the upper clothing segment so as to provide a comfortable fit of the suit.


According to an embodiment of the present invention, a padded material is attached to a Velcro pocket provided at various joints covering positions of the suit.


According to an embodiment of the present invention, the padded material is located in a shoulder region and a knee region of the suit.


According to an embodiment of the present invention, the Velcro pocket is provided at an inner surface of the suit.


According to an embodiment of the present invention, a protective rubberized layer is provided at an outer surface of the suit such that the protective rubberized layer overlaps the Velcro pocket provided at the inner surface of the suit.


According to an embodiment of the present invention, the padded material has a polymer composition and is combined directly to the suit.


According to an embodiment of the present invention, the breathable material is any of cotton, polyester and nylon.


OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to provide a protective crawl suit assembly for ensuring safety to a wearer.


Another object of the present invention is to provide the protective crawl suit assembly with greater durability and longer life.


Another object of the present invention is to provide the protective crawl suit assembly that is customizable and fits any body type.


Still another object of the present invention is to provide the protective crawl suit assembly that enables a tradesman to carry a number of tools while providing a spare space to hold extra tools.


Yet another object of the present invention is to provide the protective crawl suit assembly having embedded pads within that are replaceable, washable and have varying thickness.

The following is a detailed description of embodiments of the disclosure depicted in the accompanying drawings. The embodiments are in such detail as to clearly communicate the disclosure. The present disclosure relates to providing protective clothing, and more particularly, to clothing which incorporate elastic pull straps and pads for safety and protection to a wearer such as a technician who may have to bend, crawl or sweep across floor or a surface during a fitting operation or an amending operation. The present disclosure relates discloses a protective crawl suit assembly that incorporates elastic pull straps and padding for providing safety and protection to the wearer. The protective crawl suit assembly includes an upper clothing segment and a lower clothing segment. The upper clothing segment has a breathable material attached at armpit area. Further, the upper clothing segment has a first elastic pull strap at base of an arm of the upper clothing segment. The lower clothing segment has the breathable material attached at crotch area. The lower clothing segment has a second elastic pull strap sewn in at base of leg of the lower segment. Additionally, the protective crawl suit assembly includes a two way zipper for connecting and closing the upper clothing segment so as to provide a comfortable fit of the suit.



FIG. 1 illustrates a cross-sectional view of a protective crawl suit assembly 100 (also referred to herein as suit 100 herein after), in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. With respect to FIG. 1 is illustrated the protective crawl suit assembly 100 that comprises of an upper clothing segment having a breathable material 102 (i.e., any of cotton, polyester and nylon) attached at armpit area. The upper clothing segment is a shirt and has a first elastic pull strap 106 at base of an arm of the upper segment.


The first elastic pull strap 106 at end of wrist helps to keep suit tight to the body on both sides of the suit. The protective crawl suit assembly 100 comprises of a lower clothing segment having the breathable material attached at crotch area 108. The lower clothing segment is a pair of pants having pant legs and has a second elastic pull strap 112 sewn in at base of leg of the lower segment. Further, the protective crawl suit assembly 100 comprises of a two way zipper 114 for connecting and closing the upper clothing segment so as to provide a comfortable fit of the suit. In an embodiment, the upper clothing segment and the lower clothing segment has a stretchable fabric.


According to an embodiment, a Velcro pocket is sewn in form of a pouch. A removable padded material 104, e.g., pads is attached to the Velcro pocket provided at various joints covering positions of the suit. The padded material is located in a shoulder region and a knee region of the suit 100. The padded material 104 has a polymer composition and is combined directly to the suit. The padded material 104 is much thicker in the areas of padding that matters most for comfort than all other pads. The padded material does not restrict movement of wearer. In some cases the padded material 104 comprises of removable pads that may be removed in certain areas of the suit 100 depending on location where the wearer is functioning. The padded material 104 is replaceable, washable and comes in different thicknesses depending on nature of work being performed by the wearer.


As may be appreciated, another conventional fastener such as a snap fastener having a socket as one part, and a stud as other part may be used as a two-part fastener instead of the Velcro. Further, a typical pad may be made of a polyurethane encasement that is vacuum molded against a polyurethane substrate around a given mould.


The Velcro pocket is only sewn at an inner surface of the suit 100 and is present at both front and back of the suit 100. In an embodiment, no exterior protective coating is provided on the Velcro pocket.


According to another embodiment, at 110, is shown a protective rubberized layer that is provided at an outer surface of the suit 100 such that the protective rubberized layer overlaps the Velcro pocket provided at the inner surface of the suit 100.


By way of an example, the padded material 104 is used by wearers who are contractors that conduct inspections and/or work underneath a home in the prone position while being comfortable and safe from any pests that would want to crawl into the suit if the wearer is under for a long period of time.


In an embodiment, the lower clothing segment may include multiple pockets that may be located on an inside surface or an outside surface and may be positioned at locations that will not interfere with the wearer’s gear. For example, pockets may be located on the upper clothing segment, near seam, at or below crotch depth and above knee. This may avoid causing the wearer to loosen or remove the gear to access the pockets during operations and avoid increased safety risks.



FIG. 2 illustrates a partially broken cross-sectional view 200 of the protective crawl suit assembly 100, in section in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. With respect to FIG. 2, is shown at 202, a detachable hood with padding. The detachable hood with built in padding 202 may be used by the wearer for resting his head during a break. Also, is provided a breathable turtleneck 204 with zipper at breathable areas of the suit 100, for example, in crotch, arm pits and neck with so as to keep the worker safe from bugs.


At 206, is shown boots that stretch over a lower leg of the wearer. The boots are high enough to cover most of calf of the wearer, where an elastic pull tie 206-1 is present close to ankle and another elastic pull tie 206-2 is present at top of the calf. As may be appreciated, the boots may be big durable socks with the elastic pull tie 206-1 present at the ankle and another elastic pull tie 206-2 present at the calf of the wearer.


According to another embodiment of the present invention, an elastic pull strap 208 is provided around waist of the suit 100 to keep the suit 100 tight to body of the wearer. Also, is provided a chest pocket 210 with a zipper for storing a mobile device (e.g., mobile phone, cell phone etc.) of the wearer. The chest pocket 210 keep the mobile device protected while the wearer is at work. One or more Velcro straps 212 are provided on shoulders of the suit 100 for attaching accessories to suit 100. e.g., lights or tools.


Thus, the present disclosure relates to providing a safety gear in form of protective clothing to the wearer. The protective clothing may enable the wearer who is either a technician, a plumber, or a craftsmen to perform manual operations that involve bending, crawling, skidding on floor or surfaces without impacting or harming joints or other body parts of the wearer. In addition, the protective clothing provided in form of a suit may facilitate preventing entry of bugs or dust in the suit. The suit may also act as a medium to hook and hold gears or tools used by the wearer during the operations.


It is understood that the invention is not limited to the particular construction and arrangement of parts herein illustrated and described, but embraces all such modified forms thereof as come within the scope of the following claims.

  • 1. A protective crawl suit assembly comprising: an upper clothing segment having a breathable material attached at armpit area, wherein the upper clothing segment has a first elastic pull strap at base of an arm of the upper segment;a lower clothing segment having the breathable material attached at crotch area, wherein the lower clothing segment has a second elastic pull strap sewn in at base of leg of the lower segment; anda two way zipper for connecting and closing the upper clothing segment so as to provide a comfortable fit of the suit.
  • 2. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 1, wherein a padded material is attached to a Velcro pocket provided at various joints covering positions of the suit.
  • 3. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 2, wherein the padded material is located in a shoulder region and a knee region of the suit.
  • 4. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 2, wherein the Velcro pocket is provided at an inner surface of the suit.
  • 5. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 2, wherein a protective rubberized layer is provided at an outer surface of the suit such that the protective rubberized layer overlaps the Velcro pocket provided at the inner surface of the suit.
  • 6. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 2, wherein the padded material has a polymer composition and is combined directly to the suit.
  • 7. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 1, wherein the breathable material is any of cotton, polyester and nylon.
  • 8. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 1, wherein the upper clothing segment is a shirt.
  • 9. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 1, wherein the lower clothing segment is a pair of pants having pant legs.
  • 10. The protective crawl suit assembly of claim 1, wherein the upper clothing segment and the lower clothing segment has stretchable fabric.
