Claims
- 1. A method for generating protein microarrays, comprising:
a) providing:
i) at least one sample comprising a plurality of polypeptides; ii) a first protein separation apparatus comprising a chromatofocusing apparatus; iii) a second protein separation apparatus; iv) a solid surface; and b) treating said at least one sample with said first protein separation apparatus to generate a first separated polypeptide preparation; c) treating said first separated polypeptide preparation with said second protein separation apparatus to generate a second separated polypeptide preparation; and d) spotting at least a portion of said second separated polypeptide preparation onto said solid surface to generate a protein micro array.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein said solid surface comprises a nitrocellulose slide.
- 3. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of exposing said protein microarray to a biological fluid.
- 4. The method of claim 3, wherein said biological fluid comprises sera.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein said sera is from a subject having a disease.
- 6. The method of claim 5, wherein said disease comprises cancer.
- 7. The method of claim 3, further comprising the step of detecting antibody binding to said protein microarray.
