- a plurality of injector modules coupled to receive said fluid via said fluid supply outlet, and a selectively actuable coupling between each of said modules and said control output to selectively apply said second control signal to said modules, each of said modules having a respective output and a respective injector device which dispenses metered quantities of said fluid to said respective output in response to said second control signals; and
- a plurality of output tubes each of which is coupled to a respective one of said injector module outputs for transporting said metered quantities of fluid dispensed from its respective injector device; and
- said selectively actuable coupling including a plurality of control paths at least one of which is coupled to a respective input of a respective one of said injector modules to selectively supply said second control signal thereto, and a respective control member operatively associated with each of said control paths for selectively closing such path to prevent transfer of said second control signal therethrough and thereby selectively disable the associated injector module.
- 2. The apparatus as defined in claim 1, wherein each of said injector module outputs is adapted to selectably receive single output tubes and coaxial output tubes, and wherein each of said injector module outputs is adapted to receive one such output tube type at a time.
- 3. The apparatus as defined in claim 1, further including means coupled to a remote end of at least one of said output tubes for providing a generally uniform fluid mist dispersion therefrom, said means coupled to a remote end of said tube further acting to prevent dripping of liquid from said remote end of said tube.
- 4. The apparatus as defined in claim 1, further including a reservoir for holding a desired bulk quantity of liquid, and a conduit for conveying said liquid from said reservoir to said metering means.
- 5. The apparatus as defined in claim 1, wherein at least one of said outlet tubes is directly connected to its respective injector device, whereby said fluid metered by said injector device is displaced directly into said tube.
- 6. The apparatus as defined in claim 5, including a fluid-dispensing variable-resistance orifice coupled to the end of said outlet tube remote from said injector module, said orifice acting to emit a dispersion of said fluid dispensed from said respective injector device when the pressure in said tube is sufficiently high to exceed a predetermined cracking pressure threshold of said orifice.
- 7. The apparatus as defined in claim 6, wherein said orifice includes a resiliently-biased reclosable opening for emitting said dispersion.
- 8. The apparatus as defined in claim 1, wherein said means for pneumatically displacing the fluid from said chamber provides compressed gas to said means for producing repetitive impulses of compressed gas and also provides compressed gas to said chamber, for displacing said fluid therefrom.
- 9. The apparatus as defined in claim 1, further including means for providing compressed gas to said means for producing repetitive impulses, and wherein said means for pneumatically displacing the fluid from said chamber comprises means for applying a compressed gas to said chamber.
- 10. An apparatus for dispensing metered quantities of fluid in response to a first control signal, comprising:
- means for outputting a second control signal at a control output in response to said first control signal, and for passing said fluid to a fluid outlet;
- a plurality of injector modules coupled to receive said fluid via said fluid outlet, and means for selectively coupling each of said modules to receive said second control signal via said control output, each of said modules having a respective output and a respective injector device which dispenses metered quantities of said fluid to said respective output in response to said second control signals; and
- a plurality of output tubes each of which is coupled to a respective one of said injector module outputs for transporting the metered quantities of fluid dispensed from the injector device of the said respective injector module; said means for selectively coupling said injector modules to receive said second control signal including a supply conduit coupled to a respective input of a respective one of said injector modules to selectively supply said second control signal thereto; and a closure means operatively associated with said supply conduit for selectively preventing passage of said second control signal therethrough to thereby selectively disable the associated injector.
- 11. The apparatus as defined in claim 10, wherein said output of each of said injector modules is adapted to selectably receive single output tubes and coaxial output tubes, and wherein each of said injector module outputs is adapted to receive one such output tube at a time.
- 12. The apparatus as defined in claim 10, wherein at least one of said injector modules includes a manually actuable valve means adapted to prevent passage of said second control signal to said at least one injector module and thereby terminate the dispensing of metered quantities of fluid to the respective output tube which transports fluid from said at least one injector module when said valve means is in a closed position.
- 13. The apparatus as defined in claim 10, wherein said means for outputting a second control signal includes means for producing repetitive impulses of compressed gas in response to a continuous supply of said compressed gas.
- 14. The apparatus as defined in claim 10, including a shunt coupled to a base manifold, said base manifold comprising said control output and said fluid outlet and said shunt providing said first control signal to said control output as said second control signal.
- 15. The apparatus as defined in claim 10, wherein said closure means comprise resilient clips which close an associated supply tube to prevent passage of said second control signal when such clip is in a closed position.
- 16. The apparatus as defined in claim 14, further including a T-connector coupling said control output of said base manifold to a pair of supply tubes, each of said pair of supply tubes being coupled to a respective input of a respective one of said injector modules.
