Claims
- 1. A pulse counting demodulator comprising;
- input differentiating means for differentiating an input frequency-modulated signal to produce a differentiated pulse signal based on the input frequency-modulated signal,
- monostable multivibrator means including a capacitive element for conducting an output level inverting operation by charging and discharging said capacitive element in response to a trigger signal supplied to said monostable multivibrator means in response to the differentiated pulse signal obtained from said input differentiating means,
- variable current source means for supplying said capacitive element with a charging current and varying the charging current in response to an externally supplied control voltage, and
- output means for obtaining a demodulation output signal having a level corresponding to the output level inverting operation in said monostable multivibrator means.
- 2. The pulse counting demodulator according to claim 1 further comprising trigger signal generating means for producing a pulse signal based on the differentiated pulse signal obtained from said input differentiating means and supplying said monostable multivibrator means with said pulse signal as the trigger signal.
- 3. The pulse counting demodulator according to claim 1, wherein said output means comprises pulse current generating means for providing a pulse current corresponding to the output level inverting operation in said monostable multivibrator means and current to voltage converting means for producing a voltage signal in response to the pulse current obtained from said pulse current generating means for forming the demodulation output signal.
- 4. The pulse counting demodulator according to claim 1, wherein said variable current source means comprises constant current source means for producing a substantially constant current, variable current source means for producing a current variable in response to an externally supplied control voltage, and current supplying means for supplying said capacitive element with the charging current corresponding to a sum of said substantially constant current and said variable current.
- 5. The pulse counting demodulator according to claim 2, wherein said input differentiating means, said trigger signal generating means, said monostable multivibrator means, said variable current source means and said output means are incorporated into an integrated circuit device and wherein a control voltage terminal through which said control voltage is supplied to said variable current source means is provided on said integrated circuit device.
