- D) at least two port means for introducing cryogenic materials into separate locations along said material flow.
- 6. The apparatus as claimed in claims 5, wherein said port means comprises an upstream port and a downstream port, said upstream port being at a lesser distance from said first axis than said downstream port.
- 7. The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said cutting elements of said apparatus combine to create a "closed" configuration.
- 8. The apparatus as claimed in claim 4, wherein said cutting elements of said apparatus combine to create a "not closed" configuration.
- 9. An apparatus using air as a medium in the reducing, screening, and transporting of wood material, said apparatus comprising:
- A) a frame;
- B) a rotating disc assembly rotatably mounted about a first axis relative to said frame, said rotating disc assembly itself comprising:
- 1) a rotating disc having a first side;
- 2) a plurality of cutting elements mounted to said first side; and
- 3) a plurality of fan elements mounted on said first side and about the periphery of said rotating disc, said fan elements configured to blow air at least partially radially with respect to the said first axis of said rotating disc assembly; and
- C) a stationary cutting assembly fixed relative to said frame, said stationary cutting assembly itself comprising:
- 1) a support member having a first side; and
- 2) cutting elements mounted to said first side, said rotating disc assembly and said stationary cutting assembly being movably mounted relative to each other such that said cutting elements provide a reducing function to the wood material along a material flow path therebetween and said fan elements provide said air blowing function to assist flow of the wood along said material flow path by making it airborne somewhere along the path; and
- D) at least one port means located intermediate the ends of said material flow path, for introducing colorant to color said wood material.
