Claims
- 1. A push pin comprising a base having first and second opposite sides, and a pin having a blunt end completely embedded in and rigidly held by said base member, said pin having a sharpened end extending centrally from said second side, said second side having a convex surface coaxial with and adjacent said pin, said convex surface having a surface area in the vicinity of the pin that is substantially larger than the cross sectional area of said pin, and an outer surface extending radially outward with respect to said pin and an intermediate surface extending axially with respect to said pin between said convex surface and said outer surface, whereby said outer surface is further spaced from said sharpened end of said pin then said convex surface, in the axial direction of said pin.
- 2. The push pin of claim 1 wherein the cross section of said base at said intermediate surface is circular, and said outer surface has radially extending grooves.
- 3. The push pin of claim 1 wherein the outer circumference of said base is substantially circular with a non-regular edge.
- 4. The push pin of claim 1 wherein said first side is concave.
- 5. The push pin of claim 1 wherein said outer surface is convex.
- 6. A push pin comprising a base member having a mounting surface, and a pin having a blunt end embedded in said base member and a sharpened end extending through said mounting surface, said mounting surface having a convex portion through which said pin extends, an annular surface joining the outer radial edge of said convex portion and extending therefrom away from said pointed end of said pin, said annular surface extending axially with respect to said pin, and an outer surface extending radially outwardly from said annular surface with respect to said pin, the outer edge of said outer surface being axially spaced further from said sharpened end of said pin and the radially inner edge thereof.
- 7. The push pin of claim 6 wherein said outer surface is provided with radially extending grooves.
- 8. The push pin of claim 6 wherein said outer surface is convex.
- 9. The push pin of claim 6 wherein said base member has a concave push surface opposite said mounting surface.
