Claims
- 1. A rake device, comprising:
(a) an elongated stem having a main portion and a first end portion adjacent thereto, said first end portion having a first end and being configured such that a first angle defined between said first end and said main portion is acute; and (b) a rake head secured to said first end portion of said elongated stem, said rake head being generally disposed in a first plane, said first plane and said main portion defining an acute angle therebetween.
- 2. A rake device as in claim 1 wherein said rake head includes a plurality of tine members, at least a portion of said tine members extending in said first plane, said tine members having end portions extending out from said first plane in a direction away from said main portion of said elongated stem.
- 3. A rake device as in claim 2 wherein said end portions of said tine members extend both toward and away from said main portion of said elongated stem.
- 4. A rake device as in claim 1, including handle means disposed on said elongated stem.
- 5. A rake device as in claim 4 wherein said handle means includes two or more distinct handle components, with a first handle component being disposed at a second end portion of said elongated stem opposite said first end portion thereof, and a second handle component disposed at said main portion of said elongated stem between said first and second end portions.
- 6. A rake device as in claim 5, including handle spacing adjustment means for selectively positioning respective said handle components along said elongated stem.
- 7. A rake device as in claim 1 wherein said elongated stem includes two or more distinct stem pieces interconnected with one another.
- 8. A rake device as in claim 7 wherein said stem pieces are telescopingly received in one another.
- 9. A rake device as in claim 7 wherein a first stem piece is pivotably secured to a second stem piece.
- 10. A rake device as in claim 1 wherein a second end portion of said elongated stem opposite said first end portion thereof is angled with respect to said main portion.
- 11. A rake device, comprising:
(a) an elongated stem having a main portion and a first end portion; (b) a rake head; and (c) a pivot means operably coupling said rake head to said first end portion of said elongated stem, said pivot means being configured so as to operably provide relative pivoting motion between said rake head and said elongated stem.
- 12. A rake device as in claim 11 wherein said pivot means defines a pivot axis, said pivot means being configured to operably provide said rake head with substantially 360° of rotation within a first plane about said pivot axis.
- 13. A rake device as in claim 11 wherein said rake head includes a plurality of tine members extending at least partially in a second plane defined by said rake head, said tine members having end portions extending out from said second plane in at least one direction therefrom.
- 14. A rake device as in claim 13 wherein said end portions of said tine members divergently extend out from said second plane.
- 15. A rake device as in claim 11, including handle means disposed on said elongated stem.
- 16. A rake device as in claim 15 wherein said handle means includes two or more distinct handle components, with a first handle component being disposed at a second end portion of said elongated stem opposite said first end portion thereof, and a second handle component disposed at said main portion of said elongated stem between said first and second end portions.
- 17. A rake device as in claim 16, including handle spacing adjustment means for selectively positioning respective said handle components along said elongated stem.
- 18. A rake device as in claim 11 wherein said elongated stem includes two or more distinct stem pieces.
- 19. A rake device as in claim 18 wherein said stem pieces are telescopingly received in one another.
- 20. A rake device as in claim 18 wherein a first stem piece is pivotably secured to second stem piece.
- 21. A rake device as in claim 11 wherein a second end portion of said elongated opposite said first end portion thereof is angled with respect to said main portion.
