Claims
- 1. The process which comprises reacting 4-pyridylcarbinol with succinimido-chloroformate, said reaction being carried out in substantially anhydrous ethyl acetate or halogenated hydrocarbon solvent while maintaining the temperature within the range of about -20.degree. C. to 0.degree. C., adding a tertiary amine to the solution, and maintaining the resulting solution at a temperature of about 0.degree. C. to 5.degree. C. for a period of about 15 minutes, thereby forming pyridyl-4-methyl-succinimidocarbonate.
