Men who wear conventional suspenders have a recurring problem that they must deal with every day. The specific problem is that in order to drop their trousers for any reason they must remove their suspenders. Additionally, before doing that they must take time to remove any coat, sweater, or any other garment they may be wearing over the suspenders. Of course, this inconvenient and time-consuming process must be repeated in reverse when the user wants to replace his trousers, suspenders and garments. In an “ideal” world, individuals who wear suspenders should be able to drop or remove their trousers without having to remove their suspenders, and any outer garments they may be wearing.
The present invention is a unique and user-friendly kind of suspenders that enable a person wearing these suspenders to drop their trousers without having to remove the suspenders along with any coat, sweater or outer garment they may be wearing. The suspenders of the present invention do not need to be removed, only disconnected from the trousers in order to drop them.
The suspenders of the present invention require only two connection points, rather than the three or four connection points required by conventional suspenders. The present invention in several embodiments uses two small hooks that connect directly to the user's belt, rather than trousers. The two connection points may be conveniently located on the user's belt, one point is 4 to 6 inches to the right side of the buckle, and the other point may be 4 to 6 inches to the left side of the buckle, in several embodiments. The distance between the connection points can vary depending of the girth of the user.
When an individual wearing the suspenders of the present invention wishes to drop their trousers, they simply disconnect the two hooks from their belt. Once the hooks are disconnected from the belt, the user can quickly and easily drop their trousers without removing any sweater, coat or other outer garments they may be wearing. The process is quick and easy. After putting the trousers back in place, reconnecting the hooks to the belt is equally quick and easy.
The need for the present invention is great and growing due to the large and growing population of mostly men who have gained weight and developed a slight to moderate protruding abdomen. Sooner or later, these men discover that their trousers keep slipping down over their belly, even though they are wearing a belt. The problem is that a belt” alone, is not enough to keep their trousers in place. These are the men who will appreciate, and enjoy the benefits of using the present invention.
