Claims
- 1. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mountable to a rack
- wherein said enclosure includes a top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall and further comprising a front door for covering the front opening, said front door being hingedly attached to said bottom.
- 2. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 1 further comprising a front releasable hinge for coupling said front door to said bottom.
- 3. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 1 wherein said front door covers said entire front opening.
- 4. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate; and
- a latching mechanism for engaging said adapter plate bracket;
- wherein said adapter plate bracket includes an adapter plate bracket hole and said latching mechanism comprises:
- a first bracket mounted to the cable distribution enclosure, said first bracket having a first bracket hole; and
- a second bracket for coupling said adapter plate bracket to said first bracket, said second bracket having an upper hole and a lower hole, said upper hole being aligned with said first bracket hole and said lower hole being aligned with said adapter plate bracket hole.
- 5. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 4 wherein:
- a first connector is placed through said first bracket hole and said upper hole to connect said first bracket to said second bracket; and
- a second connector is placed through said lower hole and said adapter plate bracket hole to connect said second bracket to said adapter plate bracket.
- 6. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 4 wherein said second bracket further comprises at least one tab for preventing said second bracket from rotating.
- 7. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 6 wherein said first connector and said second connector are snap latch connectors.
- 8. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall;
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening, said sliding tray moving relative to said bottom;
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray, said adapter plate bracket including a plurality of adapter plates, each of said plurality of adapter plates including a plurality of adapters, said adapter plate bracket extending away from said sliding tray;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mounted to a rack.
- 9. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- a top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall; and
- a latching mechanism for preventing movement of said sliding tray relative to said bottom, wherein said latching mechanism engages said adapter plate bracket.
- 10. A cable distribution enclosure comprising:
- a top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall, said top being joined to said first side wall and said second side wall, said bottom being joined to said first side wall and said second side wall to define the enclosure;
- a front opening defined by said top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall;
- a rear opening defined by said top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall;
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mounted to a rack.
- 11. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 10 further comprising:
- a rear door covering said rear opening.
- 12. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 10 further comprising:
- a front door covering said front opening.
- 13. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 12 further comprising:
- a rear door covering said rear opening.
- 14. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mountable to a rack
- wherein said enclosure includes a top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall and further comprising a front door for covering the front opening, said front door being hingedly attached to one of said top and said bottom.
- 15. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 14 wherein said front door covers said entire front opening.
- 16. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mountable to a rack
- further comprising a stop for preventing movement of said sliding tray in the forward direction wherein said stop is a front door.
- 17. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 16 wherein said front door covers said entire front opening.
- 18. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mountable to a rack
- further comprising a stop for preventing movement of said sliding tray in the rearward direction wherein said stop is a rear door.
- 19. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 18 wherein said rear door covers said entire rear opening.
- 20. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mountable to a rack
- wherein said enclosure includes a top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall and further comprising a front door covering the front opening.
- 21. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 20 wherein said front door covers said entire front opening.
- 22. A cable distribution enclosure having a front opening and a rear opening comprising:
- a sliding tray being slidable in a forward direction out of said front opening and in a rearward direction out of said rear opening; and
- an adapter plate bracket mounted to said sliding tray for receiving at least one adapter plate;
- wherein the cable distribution enclosure is mountable to a rack
- wherein said enclosure includes a top, bottom, first side wall and second side wall and further comprising a rear door covering the rear opening.
- 23. The cable distribution enclosure of claim 22 wherein said rear door covers said entire rear opening.
