Claims
- 1. A powder coating curable by means of exposure to radiation comprising:
- a) a mixture of unsaturated polyester and acrylourethane; and,
- b) a photoinitiator chosen from the group consisting of morpholino containing photoinitiators, phenol containing photoinitiators, phosphine containing photoinitiators and ketal containing photoinitiators, wherein said photoinitiator comprises from approximately 0.8% to approximately 7.5% of the total weight of said mixture;
- c) a plasticizer in sufficient quantity to cause the flow temperature of said powder to be less than approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2. A powder coating as in claim 1 wherein said plasticizer comprises from approximately 2% to approximately 12% by weight of said resin mixture.
- 3. A powder coating as in claim 1 wherein said plasticizer is a benzoate plasticizer.
- 4. A powder coating as in claim 1 further comprising a synergist of ethyl dimethylamino benzoate.
- 5. A powder coating as in claim 1 further comprising a flow agent approximately in the amount of 0.5% to 5% of the total weight of said mixture.
- 6. A powder coating as in claim 1 further comprising a thioxanthone co-photoinitiator up to approximately 6% by weight of said mixture.
- 7. A powder coating as in claim 1 further comprising a degassing agent wherein said degassing agent comprises from approximately 0.2% to 5.0% of the total weight of said mixture.

This application is a divisional application of application Ser. No. 08/369,471, filed Jan. 6, 1995, now abandoned for file-wrapper-continuation application Ser. No. 08/611,970 (now U.S. Pat. No. 5,824,373), which is a continuation-in-part of application Ser. No. 08/230,232 filed Apr. 20, 1994, now abandoned.
