Claims
- 1. A shaving razor handle comprising
- an elongated hand gripping structure, and
- a cartridge support structure at an end of said hand gripping structure,
- said elongated hand gripping structure including a frame structure with openings and a plurality of gripping pads that each comprise an elastomeric plastic outer gripping layer and a nonelastomeric plastic support layer thereunder, each said opening having a restricted area leading to a larger area region within said frame structure, each said gripping pad having a locking tab received in a said opening, each said locking tab having a portion that is located in said larger area region and is larger than said restricted area, wherein said gripping pads are crescent shaped with a broad area on an upper surface of said frame structure and two narrowing portions on two side portions and wherein there is a said locking tab at each narrowing portion, and wherein said broad area carries an interlocking portion that interlocks with structure on said frame structure, and wherein said nonelastomeric plastic support layer has a lower surface that is concave between said locking tabs, wherein said frame structure has respective recessed areas in an outer surface, wherein said gripping pads are located in said recessed areas, and wherein said openings that receive respective said locking tabs are located in said. recessed areas.
- 2. A shaving razor handle comprising
- an elongated hand gripping structure, and
- a cartridge support structure at an end of said hand gripping structure,
- said elongated hand gripping structure including a frame structure with openings and a plurality of gripping pads that each comprise an elastomeric Plastic outer gripping layer and a nonelastomeric plastic support layer thereunder, each said opening having a restricted area leading to a larger area region within said frame structure, each said gripping pad having a locking tab received in a said opening, each said locking tab having a portion that is located in said larger area region and is larger than said restricted area, wherein said one gripping pad has two said locking tabs and has an interlocking portion between said locking tabs for interlocking with structure on said frame structure.
- 3. A shaving razor handle comprising
- an elongated hand gripping structure, and
- a cartridge support structure at an end of said hand gripping structure,
- said elongated hand gripping structure including a frame structure with openings and a plurality of gripping pads that each comprise an elastomeric plastic outer gripping layer and a nonelastomeric plastic support layer thereunder, each said opening having a restricted area leading to a larger area region within said frame structure, said nonelastomeric plastic support layer of each said gripping pad having a locking tab received in a said opening, each said locking tab having a portion that is located in said larger area region and is larger than said restricted area.
- 4. The handle of claim 3 wherein at least one said gripping pad has an interlocking portion that underlies an overlying portion of said frame structure.
- 5. The handle of claim 3 wherein said gripping pads are crescent shaped with a broad area on an upper surface of said frame structure and two narrowing portions on two side portions, wherein said gripping pads have gripping ridges on said upper surfaces, wherein there is a said locking tab at each narrowing portion, and wherein said nonelastomeric plastic support layer has a lower surface that is concave between said locking tabs.
- 6. The handle of claim 3 wherein each said gripping pad has two said locking tabs received in respective said openings.
- 7. The handle of claim 6 wherein said nonelastomeric plastic support layer has a lower surface that is concave between said locking tabs.
- 8. The handle of claim 3 wherein said frame structure has respective recessed areas in an outer surface, and said gripping pads are located in said recessed areas.
- 9. The handle of claim 8 wherein said openings that receive respective locking tabs are located in said recessed areas.
- 10. The handle of claim 3 wherein said restricted area is partially defined by a barb on said frame structure at said opening.
- 11. The handle of claim 3 wherein said restricted area is partially defined by facing barbs on said frame structure at said opening.
- 12. The handle of claim 10 or 11 wherein each said gripping pad has two said locking tabs received in respective said openings.
- 13. The handle of claim 10 or 11 wherein each said gripping pad has two said locking tabs received in respective said openings, and wherein said nonelastomeric plastic support layer has a lower surface that is concave between said locking tabs.
