The disclosure relates to cleaning devices and more particularly pertains to a new cleaning device for improved comfort, performance, and hygiene.
The prior art relates to cleaning devices for razor head, such as single blade and multiblade razor heads. Prior art razor cleaning devices generally comprise an apparatus that utilizes tap water directed through a nozzle to remove debris from a razor.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a housing that defines an interior space. A plurality of walls, which is coupled to the housing and positioned in the interior space, defines a reservoir and a chamber. The housing has a front, which has a slot positioned therein that opens into the chamber. A plurality of nozzles is coupled to a top of the housing and positioned in the chamber. A stream of fluid that is expelled from the nozzles contacts a razor head of a shaving razor that is inserted through the slot into the chamber. A pump, which is coupled to the housing and positioned in the interior space, is configured to pump a fluid from the reservoir through the nozzles to clean the razor head.

A plurality of nozzles 26 is coupled to a top 28 of the housing 12 and positioned in the chamber 24. A stream of fluid that is expelled from the nozzles 26 contacts a razor head of a shaving razor that is inserted through the slot 18 into the chamber 24. The nozzles 26 of the plurality of nozzles 26 is linearly arrayed in parallel to the front 16 of the housing 12. The nozzles 26 are configured to direct the stream of fluid along a width of the razor head.
A pump 30, which is coupled to the housing 12 and positioned in the interior space 14, is configured to pump a fluid, such as water, disinfectant solution, and the like, from the reservoir 22 through the nozzles 26 to clean the razor head of debris, such as hairs. The front 16 of the housing 12 has an aperture 50 positioned therein proximate to a bottom 52 of the housing 12. The aperture 50 extends between opposed sides 54 of the housing 12. A plurality of rollers 62 is engaged to the bottom 52 of the housing 12 and positioned in the chamber 24. Each roller 62 has an axis of rotation 64 that is parallel to the front 16 of the housing 12. The rollers 62 are configured to facilitate sliding of the tray 58 along the bottom 52 of the housing 12.
A plurality of grips 66 is engaged to an exterior surface 68 of the housing 12. The grips 66 are configured to enhance a grasp of the hand of the user upon the housing 12. The plurality of grips 66 may comprise two grips 66 that are positioned singly on the opposed sides 54 of the housing 12 proximate to the top 28 of the housing 12. The grips 66 may comprise rubber, or other gripping material, such as, but not limited to, silicone, elastomer, and the like.
In use, the user grasps the shaving razor and inserts the razor head through the slot 18 into the chamber 24 so that the razor head is positioned beneath the nozzles 26. The stream of fluid that is expelled from the nozzles 26 contacts the razor head to dislodge debris to clean the razor head. The debris and the fluid are collected in the tray 58.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
