Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention is related to a support board structure for drawers, and more particularly to a support board structure for drawers of file cabinet or tool cabinet.

[0002]
FIG. 1 shows a conventional file cabinet or tool cabinet. The cabinet has a rectangular cabinet body A formed by five wall boards and having a front opening. Several drawers B are vertically arranged in the cabinet body for placing therein papers or tools.

[0003] In order to facilitate drawing and pushing of the drawers B, slide rails C are disposed in the cabinet body A and drawer slide rails (not shown) are disposed on outer faces of the drawers B. the slide rails are slidably fitted with each other. The slide rail C of the cabinet body is disposed in two manners as follows:

[0004] 1. The slide rail C is directly locked on the inner face of the side walls of the cabinet body A by screws or insertion. Accordingly, in production line, it is necessary to first mount the slide rail C on the side walls of the cabinet body A and then assemble the cabinet body A. Alternatively, the cabinet body A is first assembled and then the slide rail C is fixed in the narrow interior space of the cabinet body A. This makes it impossible to unify the production procedure.

[0005] 2. As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the slide rail C of the cabinet body is locked on an internal board D by screws or insertion and then the internal board D is locked by screws or point welded on the inner faces of the side walls of the cabinet body A. Also, such measure makes it impossible to unify and speed the production.

[0006] Furthermore, the slide rails C or the internal boards D are fixedly mounted on the side walls of the cabinet body A so that the drawers are unchangeable for cooperation between the slide rails. In the case that a user is able to freely change the side walls of the cabinet body A or the internal boards D without varying the cabinet body A, it is possible to vary the size of the drawers and elastically use the drawers.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a ready assembled/disassembled support board structure for drawers, by which for the manufacturers, the production procedure can be unified and the cost is lowered.

[0008] It is a further object of the present invention to provide the above ready assembled/disassembled support board structure for drawers by which a user can freely and easily change the size of the drawers and the use of the drawers is elastic.

[0009] According to the above objects, the ready assembled/disassembled support board structure for drawers of the present invention includes a cabinet body and two support boards. The cabinet body is a rectangular body formed by five rectangular wall boards defining an interior space and a front opening. Several drawers are vertically arranged in the cabinet body. The support boards are respectively disposed on the inner faces of the side walls of the cabinet body. Several cabinet body slide rails are disposed on the support board to be assembled with the drawer slide rails of the drawers.

[0010] The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings wherein:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0018] Please refer to FIGS. 5 and 6. The ready assembled/disassembled support board structure 1 for drawers of the present invention includes a cabinet body 12 and two support boards 14 (one of which is not shown).

[0019] The cabinet body 12 is a rectangular body formed by five rectangular wall boards defining an interior space and a front opening. Several drawers (not shown) are vertically arranged in the cabinet body 12 and slidable back and forth through the opening. A drawer slide rail (not shown) is disposed on each lateral face of each drawer. A first stop section 22 is disposed on a predetermined portion of the cabinet body.

[0020] The first stop section 22 is formed by a rectangular first plate inward bending and extending from front edge of each side wall of the cabinet body 12 by a predetermined angle.

[0021] The support board 14 is a rectangular board with predetermined length and width. The support board 14 is disposed on the inner face of each side wall of the cabinet body 12. Several cabinet body slide rails 13 are disposed on the support board 14 to be assembled with the drawer slide rails of the drawers. The support board 14 includes a second stop section 42 and a resilient section 44.

[0022] The second stop section 42 is disposed on the support board 14 corresponding to the first stop section 22 for abutting against the first stop section 22. The second stop section 42 is formed by a rectangular second plate 421 and a rectangular third plate 422. The second plate 421 extends from the front edge of the support board 14 toward the side wall of the cabinet body 12. The third plate 422 forward bends and extends from the edge of the second plate 421 by a predetermined angle.

[0023] The resilient section 44 is disposed on rear edge of the support board 14 opposite to the second stop section 42. The resilient section 44 is a channel body formed by a rectangular fourth plate 441, a rectangular fifth plate 442 and a rectangular sixth plate 443. The fourth plate 441 extends from the rear edge of the support board 14 toward the side wall of the cabinet body 12. The fifth plate 442 rearward bends and extends from the edge of the fourth plate 441 by a predetermined angle. The sixth plate 443 bends and extends from the edge of the fifth plate 442 by a predetermined angle. The outer face of the sixth plate 443 abuts against the inner face of rear wall of the cabinet body 12.

[0024] Referring to FIG. 7, the support board 14 is assembled with the cabinet body 12 by the following steps:

[0025] A. placing the support board 14 in position P1;

[0026] B. obliquely inserting the support board 14 toward the first stop section 22 with the edge of the third plate 422 abutting against the first plate and positioning the support board 14 in position P2;

[0027] C. with a section of the third plate 422 abutting against the first plate as a rotational axis, swinging the support board 14; and

[0028] D. finally, by means of the resilience of the second stop section 42 and the resilient section 44, fixedly locating the support board 14 between the rear wall of the cabinet body 12 and the first stop section 22 in position P3.

[0029] When detaching the support board 14, the resilient section 44 is first biased and then the support board 14 is swung away from position P3.

[0030] The present invention has the following advantages:

[0031] 1. The second stop section 42 and the resilient section 44 are bent to have a resilience, whereby the support board 14 can be firmly assembled with the cabinet body 12.

[0032] 2. The support board 14 is assembled with the cabinet body 12 without using any locking screw or point welding so that the production procedure is unified and the cost is lowered.

[0033] 3. The manufacturers can provide various types of support boards 14 and corresponding drawers so that a user can freely and easily change the size of the drawers and the use of the drawers is elastic.

[0034] In the case that the inner face of the rear wall of the cabinet body 12 is equipped with reinforcing ribs and is not truly plane, when swinging the support board 14, the resilient section 44 may be stuck and hard to disassemble. In the second stop section 42 of the present invention, the second plate 421 and the third plate 422 contain an acute angle, whereby the support board 14 has larger rotational space and can be more easily resiliently disassembled and firmly assembled with the cabinet body 12.

[0035] The above embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiments can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
