Claims
- 1. An isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising one or more nucleic acid sequence that encodes a heave chain and a light chain amino acid sequence, wherein said heavy chain and light chain amino acid sequences comprise a monoclonal rabies virus neutralizing antibody that specifically binds to a rabies virus protein.
- 2. An isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising one or more nucleic acid sequences that encode an amino acid selected from the group consisting of: SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:10, SEQ ID NO:12, SEQ ID NO:14 and SEQ ID NO:16.
- 3. An isolated nucleic acid molecule of claim 2 comprising one or more nucleic acid sequences selected from the group consisting of: SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:3, SEQ ID NO:9, SEQ ID NO:11, SEQ ID NO:13 and SEQ ID NO:15.
- 4. A recombinant expression vector comprising a nucleic acid molecule of claim 3.
- 5. A host cell comprising an expression vector of claim 4.
- 6. A method of producing an isolated recombinant antibody comprising culturing a host cell of claim 5 and isolating recombinant antibodies expressed thereby.
- 7. A recombinant expression vector comprising a nucleic acid molecule of claim 2.
- 8. A host cell comprising an expression vector of claim 7.
- 9. A method of producing an isolated recombinant antibody comprising culturing a host cell of claim 8 and isolating recombinant antibodies expressed thereby.
- 10. A fused gene encoding a chimeric immunoglobulin light chain, comprising:
a) a first DNA sequence encoding an immunoglobulin light chain variable region of a monoclonal rabies virus neutralizing antibody produced by a heterhybridoma cell line; and b) a second DNA sequence encoding a human light chain constant region.
- 11. An expression vector, comprising a fused gene of claim 10.
- 12. A host cell, comprising an expression vector of claim 11.
- 13. A method of producing an isolated recombinant antibody comprising culturing a host cell of claim 12 and isolating recombinant antibodies expressed thereby.
- 14. A fused gene encoding a chimeric immunoglobulin heavy chain, comprising:
a) a first DNA sequence encoding an immunoglobulin heavy chain variable region of a monoclonal rabies virus neutralizing antibody produced by a heterhybridoma cell line; and b) a second DNA sequence encoding a human heavy chain constant region.
- 15. An expression vector, comprising a fused gene of claim 14.
- 16. A host cell, comprising an expression vector of claim 15.
- 17. A method of producing an isolated recombinant antibody comprising culturing a host cell of claim 16 and isolating recombinant antibodies expressed thereby.
- 18. A recombinant antibody comprising a constant region of Mab 57 linked to a non-MAb 57 variable region.
- 19. An isolated nucleic acid molecule that encodes the recombinant antibody of claim 18.
- 20. An expression vector, comprising a nucleic acid molecule of claim 19.
- 21. A host cell comprising an expression vector of claim 20.
- 22. A method of producing an isolated recombinant antibody comprising culturing a host cell of claim 21 and isolating recombinant antibodies expressed thereby.
- 23. A method of treating an individual exposed to a pathogen comprising administering to said individual a therapeutically effective amount of a recombinant antibody of claim 18.
