Claims
- 1. A damper mechanism comprising:
- a shaft-shaped member having one end secured to a movable portion and having another end being fitted with a flange-shaped first rest portion,
- a vibration absorbing member having a center through-hole for receiving said shaft-shaped member therein, said vibration absorbing member having a substantially cylindrical first portion provided on one side of an engagement recess along an axis of the shaft-shaped member and on which an elastic member is fitted, and a substantially cylindrical second portion provided on an opposite side of said engagement recess along the axis of the shaft-shaped member, said substantially cylindrical second portion being larger in diameter than said substantially cylindrical first portion, said substantially cylindrical first and second portions being unitarily formed with said engagement recess formed therebetween, said substantially cylindrical first portion defining a hollow cavity between itself and said shaft member; and
- a second flange-shaped rest abutted against said movable portion and a distal end of said substantially cylindrical first portion, and said first rest abutting a distal end of said substantially cylindrical second portion;
- wherein said shaft-shaped member having a reduced diameter portion adjacent said engagement recess of said vibration absorbing member; and wherein said elastic member is arranged between said movable portion and a fixed portion of said shaft-shaped member that is adjacent said engagement recess for biasing the movable and fixed portions in a direction away from each other, said elastic member being fitted on an outer side of said vibration absorbing member.
- 2. A damper mechanism comprising:
- a solid shaft portion having a proximal end mounted on a member and having a threaded opening along a center axis at a distal portion thereof,
- a substantially cylindrical vibration absorbing member supported by being fitted on said shaft portion, said vibration absorbing member having a substantially cylindrical first portion that defines a hollow cavity between itself and said shaft member;
- an elastic member supported on an outer periphery of said vibration absorbing member; and
- a set screw having a threaded portion engaged with said threaded opening, said set screw having a flange-shaped head formed adjacent to said threaded portion for preventing said vibration absorbing member from being detached from said shaft portion beyond the distal end thereof,
- said set screw having at a proximal end a substantially conically-shaped large diameter portion between said head and said threaded portion that is enlarged in diameter, wherein when said threaded portion is fully engaged in said threaded opening, said large diameter portion engages and enlarges a diameter of the threaded opening at the distal end of the shaft portion for preventing loosening of said set screw in said threaded opening.
- 3. The damper mechanism as claimed in claim 2 wherein said set screw has a cylindrical guide formed on a distal end of the threaded portion, said guide being lesser in diameter than a valley of said threaded portion.
