Claims
- 1. A recording sheet comprising a substrate, and an ink absorbing layer formed on at least one side of the substrate with a composition recited in claim 3.
- 2. A method of manufacturing a recording sheet which comprises the step of forming, on at least one side of a substrate, an ink absorbing layer with a composition recited in claim 3.
- 3. A composition for forming an ink absorbing layer of a recording sheet, which comprises a cationic polymer having crosslinking groups, said cationic polymer being a cationic copolymer of
a cationic monomer, selected from the group consisting of a cationic monomer having a tertiary amino group and a cationic monomer having a quaternary ammonium group, with a crosslinking monomer having an alkoxysilyl group, and a hydrophilic polymer, wherein said cationic polymer comprises an aqueous cationic polymer emulsion having tertiary amine salt groups or quaternary ammonium salt groups and a surface potential (ζ potential) of 10 to 60 mV, and wherein said cationic polymer is obtained without secondary amines for cationization of an epoxy group or cationizing agents for cationization of a hydroxy group.
