Claims
- 1. A seat positioning mechanism for use in an exercise machine having a seat, the seat positioning mechanism comprising:
a linear adjustment mechanism for connecting a seat to a body of the exercise machine such that the seat is movable in a linear fashion along the length of the body of the exercise machine; a rotary mechanism to pivot said seat from an inboard position permitting use of the exercise machine to an outboard position permitting a user to mount and dismount the seat; and wherein as the seat is pivoted from said inboard position to said outboard position said linear adjustment mechanism is disabled, preventing movement of the seat in a linear fashion.
- 2. An exercise machine having a body and a seat, the exercise machine comprising:
means for connecting a seat to a body of the exercise machine such that the seat is movable in a linear fashion along the length of the body of the exercise machine; means for pivoting the seat from an inboard position permitting use of the exercise machine to an outboard position permitting a user to mount and dismount the seat; and means whereby as the seat is pivoted from said inboard position to said outboard position movement of the seat in a linear fashion is prohibited.
