- I claim:
- 2.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 1 wherein said unitary disengagable drive element comprises at least one star ratchet.
- 3.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 2 wherein said unitary disengagable drive element comprises at least two interchangable star ratchets.
- 4.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 1 wherein said disengagable drive assembly comprises a free hub drive assembly.
- 5.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 1 wherein said fail safe engagement element comprises a fail safe mechanism.
- 6.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 5 wherein said fail safe mechanism comprises a redundant engagement element.
- 7.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 6 wherein said redundant engagement element comprises at least two engagement elements.
- 8.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 6 wherein said redundant engagement element comprises a bias element.
- 9.A freewheeling bicycle apparatus as described in claim 6 wherein said redundant engagement element comprises at least two bias elements.
