Claims
- 1. Refrigerating-lubricating cursor ring that serves as a rail for a traveller (3), consisting of a hollow, cylindrical-shaped ring (1) made of sintered material of iron, aluminium or plastic origin, which on its outer part includes a slot that is the entrance into an inner chamber (6) and is sealed and insulated from the exterior by a gasket (2), which is situated over said slot, this chamber (6) being connected to the exterior by a cylindrical hole (7), to which a connector (4) is attached, having a shoulder (9) on the outer face of the ring (1) that serves as a stopper to fix said ring (1) onto the twister and continuous spinning frame, and including on the wall of said ring (1) a neck (11) on the lower part of its outer face and another neck (10) on the upper part of its inner face, characterised in that
the ring (1) has a layer of sealing varnish (8) on the part of the surface of the outer face of the ring (1) where no contact occurs between the ring (1) and the traveller (3), with the purpose of preventing leakage of the air-lubricant/cooler mixture from said part of the surface of the outer face; the sintered material ring (1) is porous; a mixture of air-lubricant/cooler is pressure injected into said inner chamber through the connector (4) and the cylindrical hole (7); and the porosity of the material of the ring (1) and the pressure the air-lubricant/cooler mixture is injected at facilitate the distribution of said mixture through the pores formed by the sintered material of the ring (1) so that a homogeneous and constant lubrication is produced throughout the contact area between the ring (1) and the traveller (3) and the creation of an air cushion between said ring (1) and said traveller (3), thus reducing rubbing between them and preventing wearing and heating of said traveller (3).
- 2. Refrigerating-lubricating cursor ring according to the first claim, characterised in that the degree of porosity of the material of the ring (1) is between 0.1% and 50% of the volume of the ring (1).
- 3. Refrigerating-lubricating cursor ring according to the first claim, characterised in that the pressure the air-lubricant/cooler mixture is injected at is within an interval whose values are between 0.2 bar and 80 bar.
- 4. Refrigerating-lubricating cursor ring, characterised in that it can use a mixture of air-lubricant/cooler with a gradable temperature between −150°C. and +50°C.
- 5. Refrigerating-lubricating cursor ring, characterised in that it can use a mixture of air-lubricant/cooler in which the proportion of the components of the air-lubricant/cooler mixture is within a range of between 100% air and 0% lubricant and a mixture of 0% air and 100% lubricant, said lubricant being preferably oil or water-based emulsions with oil.
- 6. Refrigerating-lubricating cursor ring, characterised in that it operates with an air-lubricant/cooler mixture in which the viscosity of the oil varies between 0.1 and 250 centistockes measured at 40°in accordance with ISO regulations.
