Rehabilitation Exercising Equipment that can Extend a User's Arms and Legs

Abstract
A rehabilitation exercising equipment includes a main frame, a seat unit mounted on the main frame, and two swinging mechanism each pivotally mounted on the main frame. Thus, when the two swinging mechanism are driven by the user's arms or legs, the two swinging mechanism are pivoted relative to the main frame and are moved outward and inward in a reciprocal manner to exercise or rehabilitate the user's arms and legs so as to achieve an exercising or rehabilitating function.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention


The present invention relates to a rehabilitation equipment and, more particularly, to a rehabilitation exercising equipment.


2. Description of the Related Art


A conventional rehabilitation equipment comprises a support frame, a pedal portion mounted on the support frame, and a handle portion mounted on the support frame and connected with the pedal portion to move in concert with the pedal portion. Thus, when a user holds the handle portion and treads the pedal portion, the handle portion is driven by the pedal portion to move upward and downward so as to provide a rehabilitating function to the user's two hands. However, when the user's legs are injured, he/she cannot tread the pedal portion to drive the handle portion easily, thereby causing inconvenience to the user, and thereby decreasing the rehabilitating effect of the rehabilitation equipment.


A conventional exercising bike is available for a user to provide an exercising or rehabilitating function. However, the user has to tread and move the pedals along a circular track so that when the user's legs are injured, he/she cannot finish the circular track easily, thereby causing disturbance to the user, and thereby decreasing the exercising or rehabilitating effect of the exercising bike.


BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a rehabilitation exercising equipment, comprising a main frame, a seat unit mounted on the main frame, and two swinging mechanism each pivotally mounted on the main frame.


Each of the two swinging mechanism includes a first support bar pivotally mounted on the main frame, and a second support bar pivotally connected with the first support bar. The first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a side provided with a foot pedal. The second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a side provided with a handlebar. The foot pedal of each of the two swinging mechanism is disposed at a horizontal position at a normal state. The handlebar of each of the two swinging mechanism is disposed at a vertical position at a normal state. The first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a first leg support. The second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a second leg support. The first leg support of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a cushion. The second leg support of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a cushion. The first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a substantially L-shaped profile. The second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a substantially L-shaped profile. The second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism is pivotally connected with an upper end of the first support bar. The rehabilitation exercising equipment further comprises a mounting bracket mounted on the main frame, and two support shafts mounted on the mounting bracket to support the two swinging mechanism respectively. The first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a lower end pivotally connected with a respective one of the two support shafts. The rehabilitation exercising equipment further comprises two bushings each mounted between a respective one of the two support shafts and a respective one of the two swinging mechanism. The rehabilitation exercising equipment further comprises an upright post mounted on an upper end of the mounting bracket, and a control panel mounted on an upper end of the upright post. The two swinging mechanism are pivotable relative to the main frame symmetrically. The two swinging mechanism are movable in a substantially V-shaped manner. The two swinging mechanism are pivotally mounted on the mounting bracket in a symmetric manner. Each of the two swinging mechanism further includes a clamping space defined between the first leg support of the first support bar and the second leg support of the second support bar.


The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a rehabilitation exercising equipment that can extend a user's arms and legs.


According to the primary advantage of the present invention, when the two swinging mechanism are driven by the user's arms or legs, the two swinging mechanism are pivoted relative to the main frame and are moved outward and inward in a reciprocal manner to exercise or rehabilitate the user's arms and legs so as to achieve an exercising or rehabilitating function.


According to another advantage of the present invention, the two swinging mechanism are moved in a substantially V-shaped manner so that the user's arms and legs can operate and move the two swinging mechanism easily and conveniently, thereby enhancing the exercising or rehabilitating effect.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-4, a rehabilitation exercising equipment in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a main frame 10, a seat unit 20 mounted on the main frame 10, and two swinging mechanism 60 each pivotally mounted on the main frame 10.


The rehabilitation exercising equipment further comprises a mounting bracket 30 mounted on the main frame 10, two support shafts 31 mounted on the mounting bracket 30 to support the two swinging mechanism 60 respectively, two bushings 32 each mounted between a respective one of the two support shafts 31 and a respective one of the two swinging mechanism 60, an upright post 40 mounted on an upper end of the mounting bracket 30, and a control panel 50 mounted on an upper end of the upright post 40.


The two swinging mechanism 60 are pivotable relative to the main frame 10 symmetrically and are movable in a substantially V-shaped manner. Preferably, the two swinging mechanism 60 are pivotally mounted on the mounting bracket 30 in a symmetric manner.


Each of the two swinging mechanism 60 includes a first support bar 61 pivotally mounted on the main frame 10, and a second support bar 62 pivotally connected with the first support bar 61.


The first support bar 61 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a substantially L-shaped profile. The first support bar 61 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a lower end pivotally connected with a respective one of the two support shafts 31. The first support bar 61 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a side provided with a foot pedal 611. The foot pedal 611 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 is preferably disposed at a horizontal position at a normal state as shown in FIG. 4. The first support bar 61 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a surface provided with a first leg support 612. The first leg support 612 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a surface provided with a cushion 613.


The second support bar 62 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a substantially L-shaped profile. The second support bar 62 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 is pivotally connected with an upper end of the first support bar 61. The second support bar 62 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a side provided with a handlebar 621. The handlebar 621 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 is preferably disposed at a vertical position at a normal state as shown in FIG. 4. The second support bar 62 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a surface provided with a second leg support 622. The second leg support 622 of each of the two swinging mechanism 60 has a surface provided with a cushion 623.


Each of the two swinging mechanism 60 further includes a clamping space 63 defined between the first leg support 612 of the first support bar 61 and the second leg support 622 of the second support bar 62 to clamp a user's leg.


In operation, referring to FIGS. 3-6 with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a user is seated on the seat unit 20 with his two hands holding the handlebars 621 of the two swinging mechanism 60, and with his two feet stepping on the foot pedals 611 of the two swinging mechanism 60. At this time, the user's two legs are clamped by the clamping spaces 63 of the two swinging mechanism 60. In such a manner, the two swinging mechanism 60 are moved by the user's arms or legs to pivot outward and inward relative to the main frame 10 in a reciprocal manner so as to exercise or rehabilitate the user's arms or legs and to achieve an exercising or rehabilitating function.


Accordingly, when the two swinging mechanism 60 are driven by the user's arms or legs, the two swinging mechanism 60 are pivoted relative to the main frame 10 and are moved outward and inward in a reciprocal manner to exercise or rehabilitate the user's arms and legs so as to achieve an exercising or rehabilitating function. In addition, the two swinging mechanism 60 are moved in a substantially V-shaped manner so that the user's arms and legs can operate and move the two swinging mechanism 60 easily and conveniently, thereby enhancing the exercising or rehabilitating effect.


Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.

  • 1. A rehabilitation exercising equipment, comprising: a main frame, a seat unit mounted on the main frame, and two swinging mechanism each pivotally mounted on the main frame.
  • 2. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 1, wherein each of the two swinging mechanism includes: a first support bar pivotally mounted on the main frame; anda second support bar pivotally connected with the first support bar.
  • 3. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 2, wherein the first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a side provided with a foot pedal;the second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a side provided with a handlebar.
  • 4. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 3, wherein the foot pedal of each of the two swinging mechanism is disposed at a horizontal position at a normal state;the handlebar of each of the two swinging mechanism is disposed at a vertical position at a normal state.
  • 5. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 2, wherein the first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a first leg support;the second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a second leg support.
  • 6. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 5, wherein the first leg support of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a cushion;the second leg support of each of the two swinging mechanism has a surface provided with a cushion.
  • 7. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 2, wherein the first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a substantially L-shaped profile.
  • 8. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 2, wherein the second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a substantially L-shaped profile.
  • 9. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 2, wherein the second support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism is pivotally connected with an upper end of the first support bar.
  • 10. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 2, wherein the rehabilitation exercising equipment further comprises:a mounting bracket mounted on the main frame; andtwo support shafts mounted on the mounting bracket to support the two swinging mechanism respectively;the first support bar of each of the two swinging mechanism has a lower end pivotally connected with a respective one of the two support shafts.
  • 11. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 10, wherein the rehabilitation exercising equipment further comprises: two bushings each mounted between a respective one of the two support shafts and a respective one of the two swinging mechanism.
  • 12. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 10, wherein the rehabilitation exercising equipment further comprises: an upright post mounted on an upper end of the mounting bracket; anda control panel mounted on an upper end of the upright post.
  • 13. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 1, wherein the two swinging mechanism are pivotable relative to the main frame symmetrically.
  • 14. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 13, wherein the two swinging mechanism are movable in a substantially V-shaped manner.
  • 15. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 10, wherein the two swinging mechanism are pivotally mounted on the mounting bracket in a symmetric manner.
  • 16. The rehabilitation exercising equipment of claim 5, wherein each of the two swinging mechanism further includes a clamping space defined between the first leg support of the first support bar and the second leg support of the second support bar.
