Abstract
The invention relates to a reinforced umbrella for resisting wind. The umbrella mainly includes a first rib to connect with a branch rib having its outer end a sleeve being provided around a tail rib slidably. The branch rib can increase the strength that prevents the tail rib from being bent sideward to resist wind when the umbrella is opened. The umbrella is then avoided from damage for utilization.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 1 and 2, a conventional folded umbrella has a connector (3) to connect a first rib (1) and a tail rib (2). When wind blows, the tail rib (2) would be bent upward (as imaged line of FIG. 1) or bent sideward (as imaged line of FIG. 2). At this moment, the most bearing position will be on the connecting point of the tail rib (2) and the connector (3), in which it is broken easily and then the umbrella can't be used. There is a know improved umbrella, which provides the connector (3) with a projection (31) to insert into a U-shape groove of the first rib (1), as shown in FIG. 3 for preventing the tail rib (2) from sideward bending. Since it is only a point contact therebetween, reinforced effect is still poor.

The present invention is to provide a reinforced umbrella for resisting wind, which includes a branch rib extending to connect with the tail rib that increases perfect strength for resisting wind effectively. Now, accompanying with the following drawings, the character of the present invention will be described here and after.

FIG. 6 is a top plan view of FIG. 5.

FIG. 7 is a front plan view showing the reinforced umbrella in closing state.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 4 to 6, the present invention relates to a reinforced umbrella, which includes a first rib (1) and a tail rib (2), both of which are connected by a connector (3). A main character of the present invention is to provide a branch rib (4), which has an inner end connected with the first rib (1) and has a sleeve (41) provided around the tail rib (2) slidably. The tail rib (2) has a ring (21) for positioning the sleeve (41) of the branch rib (4) when the umbrella is opened. Moreover, the first rib (1) has its outer end as a fork end (11) for placing both sides of the connector (3). Hence, the connector (3) is totally received between the fork end (11) and the lower plane of the connector (3) is almost laid on bottom of the U-shape groove. By use of the large contact engagement to reinforce the strength, the connector (3) will be avoided from damage when the tail rib (2) is bent sideward. When closing the umbrella, as shown in FIG. 7, the sleeve (41) can be slid downward alone the tail rib (2) without any trouble that the umbrella can be used as normal.

From above mention, it can be understood that the branch rib (4) can increases the strength for the tail rib (2) to prevent from damage as being bent upward in FIG. 1. The fork end (11) of the first rib (1) snaps the connector (3) that avoids the tail rib (2) being bent sideward to prevent from broken. Obviously, the present invention obtains utilization and effect of resisting wind.

Accordingly, the above-mentioned structure is only an exemplary of the present invention. Any modification with the same merit is still claimed in this application; such as to apply any similar structure on three folded umbrella or more.

Claims
  • 1. A reinforced umbrella for resisting wind including a first rib and a tail rib, both of which are connected by a connector; the character is to provide a branch rib, which has an inner end connected with the first rib and has a sleeve provided around the tail rib slidably, the tail rib having a ring for positioning the sleeve of the branch rib when the umbrella is opened; the first rib having its outer end as a fork end for placing both sides of the connector, which is totally received between the fork end.
  • 2. The reinforced umbrella for resisting wind as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lower plane of the connector is almost laid on bottom of the U-shape groove.
