Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of cosmetic product accessories. More specifically, the present invention relates to a removable cosmetic product leak-prevention device. The device can be placed over, on, or above the connection point of the body and cap of a cosmetic product to stop or catch any leaks from the cosmetic product. The device preferably resembles a flower such that it is visually appealing. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.

BACKGROUND

Lip gloss, lip balm, lipstick, foundation, and other cosmetic products of the like are typically stored in small tubes or containers which are then subsequently stored and transported in a purse or make-up bag. Despite having a cap, the liquid cosmetic product can escape from the tube or bottle and spill into the interior of a purse or make-up bag. This is undesirable, as a leak leads to wasted product, such that the user must purchase new product sooner than anticipated. In addition, attempting to clean out a purse or make-up bag after a cosmetic product has leaked into a purse or bag can be difficult and frustrating.

Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a device for preventing cosmetic product leaks. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a removable cosmetic product leak-prevention device that can be used to prevent a cosmetic product from leaking within a purse or bag. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a removable cosmetic product leak-prevention device that can be universally applied to any liquid cosmetic product. In addition, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a removable cosmetic product leak-prevention device that is reusable.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a removable cosmetic product leak-prevention device. The body is preferably comprised of a flexible, washable, rubber material. The body preferably has at least one decorative element that may resemble a flower petal. An opening of the body allows the body to be placed around a cosmetic product. More specifically, the device may be positioned above, on, or below a connection point of the cap and body of the cosmetic product. In this manner, an internal liner of the body can prevent leakage from the connection point via absorption and/or covering.

In this manner, the removable cosmetic product leak-prevention device of the present invention accomplishes all the foregoing objectives and provides a device for preventing cosmetic product leaks within a purse or bag. The flexible nature of the device body allows the device to be universally applied to any liquid cosmetic product. In addition, it is reusable and visually appealing.
