1. Field of the Disclosure
The disclosure relates to replaceable collar and cuff devices and more particularly pertains to a new replaceable collar and cuff device for allowing a person to change the cuffs and color on a shirt to provide the shirt with a different appearance.
2. Summary of the Disclosure
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a torso covering including a front side, a back side and a pair of lateral sides extending between the front and back sides. A pair of sleeves each extends outwardly from one of the lateral sides. Each of the sleeves has a terminal end and the torso covering has a neck opening extending therethrough. A plurality of sets of shirt attachments is provided. At least one of the sets is a first color and at least one of the sets is a second color wherein the first and second colors are different colors. Each of the sets includes a collar and a pair of cuffs. A plurality of couplers releasably couple a selected one of the collars to the torso covering adjacent to the neck opening and each of the cuffs to one of the sleeves.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A plurality of sets 32 of shirt attachments 34, 36 is provided wherein at least one of the sets 32 is a first color and at least one of the sets is a second color such that the first and second colors are different colors. The colors may comprise any color and includes both white and black. Each of the sets 32 includes a collar 34 and a pair of cuffs 36. As can be seen in the Figures, only a single set 32 of shirt attachments 34, 36 is shown, however it should be understood that the shirt attachments 34, 36 would be provided in a plethora of colors to allow the user of the system 10 to alter the look of a dress shirt as desired and to match other clothing being worn. Further, the collars 34 and cuffs 36 may be provided in different styles such as, but not limited to, standard cuffs and French cuffs.
A plurality of couplers 38 is provided and the couplers 38 releasably couple a selected one of the collars 34 to the torso covering 12 adjacent to the neck opening 24 and each of the cuffs 36 to one of the sleeves 20. Each of the couplers 38 includes a plurality of first mating members 40 wherein at least three of the first mating members 40 is attached to the torso covering 12 adjacent to neck opening 24, and at least three of the first mating members 40 is attached to each of the sleeves 20 and positioned adjacent to an associated one of the terminal ends 22. Each of the first mating members 40 is positioned on an outer surface of the torso covering as shown in
In use, the user of the system 10 will wear the torso covering 12, or shirt, in a conventional manner. However, the collar 34 and cuffs 36 may be changed as needed either due to wear on those elements or because the user would like to alter the aesthetics of the shirt.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
