BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION—FIELD OF INVENTION

This removable stain protector collar is an item that attaches to men's or women's dress shirts on the inside ofthe neckline. The removable stain protector collar becomes soiled by “ring around the collar,” but it is removable so the need to launder or dry clean shirts is reduced. The removable stain protector collar confines sealing oil and dirt particles to it. Sealing oil and dirt particles usually get trapped on shirt collars and tend to form ring around the collar, requiring the entire shirt to be laundered even though only a small part of it is dirty. Once the removable stain protector collar collects dirt, it is easily removed and disposed of or washed. A fresh removable stain protector collar can be applied to a shirt and the user is ready for another workday. The cost is much less than the typical cost of having a shirt laundered.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Everyday people wear collared shirts. At some point, the shirts are soiled enough to require being laundered, either commercially or privately. As a general rule, the more a shirt is worn, the more frequently it must be laundered. However, frequently the only part of the shirt that needs to be cleaned is the collar. Laundering the shirt subjects the entire shirt, not just the collar, to the chemicals contained in the soap or cleansing agents used by the launderer. The more frequently a shirt is laundered, the greater the wear and tear on the fabric.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION—OBJECTS AND ADVANTAGES

The objects and advantages of the removable stain protector collar described above are:

(a) to reduce the frequency of laundering a shirt.

(b) to reduce the cost of laundering shirts by reducing the frequency of laundering shirts.

(c) to provide a way to protect shirts against sebum and oil stains.

(d) to extend the useful life of a shirt by reducing the wear and tear on a shirt by reducing the frequency of laundering a shirt.

SUMMARY

In conjunction with the present invention, a removable stain protector collar would be very practical for people who wear collar shirts everyday. For example, people in the office sector would use this product. The great thing about the removable stain protector collar is that it will cut down on the costs of laundering collar shirts as well as protect the inside of collar shirts from having stains from sebum or oils produced by the neckline. Now with the disposable removable stain protector collar it is easily used and removed and disposed of. With the reusable stain protector collar, it is easily laundered and reused for other shirts.
