BACKGROUND

By way of background, individuals wear clothing throughout their lives. Clothing provides warmth, comfort, and modesty. Further, pockets are common in many clothing items. For example, pants commonly have pockets, and jackets commonly have pockets. Pockets are used for carrying essential personal items securely and conveniently. However, some items of clothing such as T-shirts and sport shirts do not include pockets.

Without pockets, individuals cannot easily carry essential items such as cell phones, keys, wallets, or other small objects. Lack of pockets forces individuals to either hold such items in their hands, which can be inconvenient and cumbersome, or leave them behind altogether, risking loss or damage. The inability to carry necessities can lead to frustration and inconvenience, especially when the items are regularly needed for tasks like communication, payment, or identification. Leaving necessities behind due to a lack of pockets also increases the risk of losing the items. Losing items is a major inconvenience and financially costly, especially for valuable items like phones. Individuals also resort to clothing with pockets to avoid problems which restrict their clothing choices. Individuals desire a removable pocket that provides the flexibility to add the pocket to any garment, regardless of the original design of the garment.

Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a removable pocket that provides users with the flexibility to add a pocket(s) to any garment. Additionally, there is a long-felt need in the art for a removable and reusable pocket(s) that enables individuals to enjoy the convenience of pockets even with clothing that traditionally lacks pockets.
