Claims
- 1. A single-piece fluid flow assembly adapted to be disposed in an enclosure having a fluid inlet passageway and a fluid outlet passageway therein, the fluid flow assembly comprising:
- a first coupling mechanism adapted to engage the fluid inlet passageway;
- a second coupling mechanism adapted to engage the fluid outlet passageway;
- a fluid flow control element rigidly connected between the first and second coupling mechanisms; and
- a mounting element rigidly mounted to the fluid flow assembly within the enclosure and adapted to rigidly mount to the enclosure to hold the first coupling mechanism and the fluid inlet passageway in sealed engagement and to hold the second coupling mechanism and the fluid outlet passageway in sealed engagement.
- 2. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, wherein the mounting element is disposed apart from the first coupling mechanism and from the second coupling mechanism.
- 3. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, wherein the mounting element comprises a bracket adapted to be mounted to the enclosure by a fastener.
- 4. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, further including a fluid flow passageway that is connected between the first coupling mechanism and the second coupling mechanism and that includes a one-hundred and eighty degree bend therein.
- 5. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, wherein the first and second coupling mechanisms each includes a female coupling end adapted to be disposed over a male coupling end located on the fluid inlet passageway or the fluid outlet passageway.
- 6. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, further including a handle disposed between the first and second coupling mechanisms.
- 7. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 6, wherein the handle is disposed at a center of gravity of the fluid flow assembly.
- 8. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, wherein the fluid flow control element comprises a regulator.
- 9. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, wherein the fluid flow control element comprises two control elements rigidly connected together.
- 10. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 9, wherein the each of the control elements is a pilot operated regulator.
- 11. The single-piece fluid flow assembly of claim 1, wherein the first and second coupling mechanisms are each oriented to open in a first direction such that movement of the fluid flow assembly in a second direction disengages the first coupling mechanism from the fluid inlet passageway while disengaging the second coupling mechanism from the fluid outlet passageway.
- 12. A fluid delivery assembly comprising:
- an enclosure;
- a fluid inlet pipe having a fluid inlet pipe end disposed within the enclosure;
- a fluid outlet pipe having a fluid outlet pipe end disposed within the enclosure; and
- a rigid fluid flow assembly adapted to be disposed within the enclosure and to be removably coupled between the fluid inlet pipe end and the fluid outlet pipe end, the fluid flow assembly including,
- a first coupling mechanism adapted to engage the fluid inlet pipe end,
- a second coupling mechanism adapted to engage the fluid outlet pipe end,
- a fluid flow control element coupled between the first and second coupling mechanisms, and
- a mounting element rigidly mounted to the fluid flow assembly and adapted to rigidly mount to the enclosure to hold the first coupling mechanism and the fluid inlet pipe end in sealed engagement and to hold the second coupling mechanism and the fluid outlet pipe end in sealed engagement.
- 13. The fluid delivery assembly of claim 12, wherein the enclosure includes an opening therein adapted to allow a service person access to the interior of the enclosure and wherein the mounting element is located in proximity to the opening in a manner that allows the service person to engage and disengage the mounting element by reaching into the enclosure.
- 14. The fluid delivery assembly of claim 13, wherein the mounting element comprises a bracket adapted to be mounted to the enclosure by a fastener.
- 15. The fluid delivery assembly of claim 13, wherein the fluid flow assembly includes a fluid passageway that is connected between the first coupling mechanism and the second coupling mechanism and that has a one-hundred and eighty degree bend therein.
- 16. The fluid delivery assembly of claim 13, wherein the fluid flow assembly further includes a handle disposed between the first and second coupling mechanisms, said handle located in proximity to the opening so that the handle can be reached by a service person through the opening.
- 17. The fluid delivery assembly of claim 16, wherein the handle is disposed at a center of gravity of the fluid flow assembly.
- 18. The fluid delivery assembly of claim 13, wherein the first and second coupling mechanisms are each oriented to open in a first direction such that movement of the fluid flow assembly in a second direction disengages the first coupling mechanism from the fluid inlet pipe end while disengaging the second coupling mechanism from the fluid outlet pipe end.
- 19. The fluid delivery assembly of claim 18, wherein the first and second coupling mechanisms each comprises a female coupling end and wherein the fluid inlet pipe end and the fluid outlet pipe end each comprises a male coupling end.
