Claims
- 1. A replaceable ink cartridge having an ink supply port and an air communicating port which are formed on a casing, in which a peripheral portion around said ink supply port and a peripheral portion around said air communicating port are sealed by tight contact with one seal member which is removable by peeling off, wherein, a structure of said peripheral portion around said ink supply port and a structure of said peripheral portion around said air communicating port are provided so that said air communicating port is opened prior to opening of said ink supply port when removing said seal member by peeling off said one seal member, a peeling off force of said one seal member acting on both of said peripheral portion around said air communicating port and said peripheral portion around said ink supply port, said structures being formed of a generally circular rib which surrounds said ink supply port and said air communicating port, respectively, and an outer diameter of said generally circular rib surrounding said air communicating port is larger than an outer diameter of said generally circular rib surrounding said ink supply port.
- 2. A replaceable ink cartridge according to claim 1, wherein a direction of peeling said seal member is regulated via an extension of said peeling member which extends from positions of said structures surrounding said ink supply port and said air communicating port, respectively.
- 3. A replaceable ink cartridge according to claim 2, wherein, at least a portion of said extension of said seal member is bonded with a packaging member which wraps said casing, and upon opening of said packaging member, said extension, together with said packaging member, is regulated to a limited peeling direction.
- 4. A replaceable ink cartridge having an ink, supply port and an air communicating port which are formed on a casing, in which a peripheral portion around said ink supply port and a peripheral portion around said air communicating port are sealed by tight contact with one seal member which is removable by peeling off, wherein, a structure of said peripheral portion around said ink supply port and a structure of said peripheral portion around said air communicating port are provided so that said air communicating port is opened prior to opening of said ink supply port when removing said seal member by peeling off said one seal member, a peeling off force of said one seal member acting on both of said peripheral portion around said air communicating port and said peripheral portion around said ink supply port, said structures being formed of a generally circular rib which surrounds said ink supply port and said air communicating port, respectively, and an inner diameter of said generally circular rib surrounding said air communicating port is larger than an inner diameter of said generally circular rib surrounding said ink supply port.
- 5. A replaceable ink cartridge according to claim 4, wherein a direction of peeling said seal member is regulated via an extension of said seal member which extends from positions of said structures surrounding said ink supply port and said air communicating port, respectively.
- 6. A replaceable ink cartridge according to claim 5, wherein, at least a portion of said extension of said seal member is bonded with a packaging member which wraps said casing, and upon opening of said packaging member, said extension, together with said packaging member, is regulated to a limited peeling direction.
- 7. A replaceable ink cartridge having an ink supply port and an air communicating port which are formed on a casing, in which a peripheral portion around said ink supply port and a peripheral portion around said air communicating port are sealed by tight contact with one seal member which is removable by peeling off, wherein, a structure of said peripheral portion around said ink supply port and a structure of said peripheral portion around said air communicating port are provided so that said air communicating port is opened prior to opening of said ink supply port when removing said seal member by peeling off said one seal member, a peeling off force of said one seal member acting on both of said peripheral portion around said air communicating port and said peripheral portion around said ink supply port, said structures being formed of a generally circular rib which surrounds said ink supply port and a polygonal shaped rib which surrounds said air communicating port, respectively, and said polygonal shaped rib surrounding said air communicating port is formed of a polygonal shape having an outer dimension that is larger than an outer diameter of said generally circular rib surrounding said ink supply port.
- 8. A replaceable ink cartridge according to claim 7, wherein a direction of peeling said seal member is regulated via an extension of said seal member which extends from positions of said structures surrounding said ink supply port and said air communicating port, respectively.
- 9. A replaceable ink cartridge according to claim 8, wherein, at least a portion of said extension of said seal member is bonded with a packaging member which wraps said casing, and upon opening of said packaging member, said extension, together with said packaging member, is regulated to a limited peeling direction.
