Claims
- 1. A replacement cartridge for a razor assembly, comprising:
a base having one or more features for attaching the replacement cartridge to the razor assembly; and a shaving aid body coupled to the base, wherein the shaving aid body includes a first aperture disposed in a contact surface, wherein the first aperture is sized to receive a razor cartridge.
- 2. The replacement cartridge of claim 1, wherein the base is attached to the shaving aid body.
- 3. The replacement cartridge of claim 1, wherein the base is integrally formed with the shaving aid body.
- 4. The replacement cartridge of claim 1, wherein the base is embedded within the shaving aid body.
- 5. The replacement cartridge of claim 4, wherein the shaving aid body further comprises a second aperture extending between the first aperture and a base surface.
- 6. The replacement cartridge of claim 5, wherein the first aperture and the second aperture each have a cross-sectional geometry substantially similar to the other.
- 7. The replacement cartridge of claim 5, wherein the shaving aid body is substantially oval shaped.
- 8. The replacement cartridge of claim 7, wherein the shaving aid body is one piece.
- 9. The replacement cartridge of claim 7, wherein the shaving aid body includes a forward portion and an aft portion separate from one another.
- 10. The replacement cartridge of claim 7, wherein the contact surface is skewed relative to a centerline of the first aperture.
- 11. The replacement cartridge of claim 7, wherein the base includes a first surface and a second surface, and wherein the one or more features for attaching the base to the razor assembly include a plurality of tabs extending outwardly from the second surface.
- 12. The replacement cartridge of claim 11, wherein the plurality of tabs are asymmetrically arranged.
- 13. The replacement cartridge of claim 12, wherein the base further comprises a base aperture that extends between the first surface and the second surface.
- 14. The replacement cartridge of claim 13, wherein the base aperture is aligned with the first aperture and the second aperture disposed within the shaving body.
- 15. The replacement cartridge of claim 14, wherein the base aperture has an axial cross-sectional geometry substantially the same as the cross-sectional geometry of the first aperture and the second aperture.
- 16. The replacement cartridge of claim 15, wherein the base further comprises one or more tabs extending laterally outward.
- 17. The replacement cartridge of claim 1, wherein the base includes a first surface and a second surface, and wherein the one or more features for attaching the replacement cartridge to the razor assembly include a plurality of tabs extending outwardly from the second surface.
- 18. The replacement cartridge of claim 17, wherein the plurality of tabs are asymmetrically arranged.
- 19. The replacement cartridge of claim 17, wherein the base further comprises a base aperture that extends between the first surface and the second surface.
- 20. The replacement cartridge of claim 19, wherein the base aperture is aligned with the first aperture disposed within the shaving body.
- 21. The replacement cartridge of claim 20, wherein the shaving aid body further comprises a second aperture extending between the first aperture and a base surface, and wherein the second aperture, the first aperture, and the base aperture each have a cross-sectional geometry substantially similar to the others of the second aperture, the first aperture, and the base aperture.
- 22. The replacement cartridge of claim 1, wherein the one or more features for attaching the replacement cartridge to the razor assembly attach the replacement cartridge to the razor assembly in a manner such that the replacement cartridge is intended to be detached from the razor assembly when the replacement cartridge is worn.
- 23. A replacement cartridge for a razor assembly, comprising:
a shaving aid body that includes a contact surface and a base surface; and a base having one or more features for attaching the replacement cartridge to the razor assembly, wherein the base is embedded in the shaving aid body adjacent the base surface.
- 24. The replacement cartridge of claim 23, wherein the one or more features for attaching the replacement cartridge to the razor assembly extend outwardly from the base surface of the shaving aid body.
- 25. A shaving aid cartridge for a razor assembly, comprising:
a solid erodable body consisting essentially of one or more shaving aid materials, wherein the body includes a base surface and a contact surface; a first aperture disposed in the contact surface, wherein the first aperture is sized to receive a razor cartridge.
- 26. The shaving aid cartridge of claim 25, further comprising one or more features for attaching the shaving aid cartridge to the razor assembly.
- 27. The shaving aid cartridge of claim 25, wherein the body is one piece.
- 28. The shaving aid cartridge of claim 27, wherein the body is oval shaped.
- 29. The shaving aid cartridge of claim 28, wherein the contact surface is skewed relative to a centerline of the first aperture.
- 30. The shaving aid cartridge of claim 25, wherein the body comprises a plurality of pieces.
- 31. The shaving aid cartridge of claim 30, wherein the plurality of body pieces form an oval shape surrounding the first aperture.
- 32. The shaving aid cartridge of claim 31, wherein the contact surface is skewed relative to a centerline of the first aperture.
